I was not prepared for how gorgeous this property was! The redwoods were absolutely stunning, truly a special location. I didn't think I was going to use the pool at all but it ended up providing a lovely refreshing dip when it got pretty hot, and the pool was very clean. The hosts were super warm and friendly, checking in on how I was doing and even offering me some smoothie. They were present and easy to reach whenever I had any questions. The tent spot at Site 1 was great. The only challenge was that there were tons of mosquitos, and I got very bitten up - be prepared for mosquitos at all times of day, not just the evening. There were also a lot of other guests over the weekend, some of whom were fairly noisy and had loud kids - be prepared for it to be fairly social and popping if you go over the weekend. I stayed through Monday and it was super lovely and peaceful to have the whole farther camping area to myself Sunday evening-Monday morning, nice and quiet. Site 1 is definitely a little schlep from the parking area - a short walk but with an uphill so keep that in mind with how much stuff you bring.

I can't recommend Ruth's hipcamp enough!! It's such a special place, it sits on a beautiful 5 acre piece of land that's full of redwoods, and extremely peaceful. The pool is such a great amenity to have access to as well as the hammocks and various lounging areas.
The best part of all however, is the incredibly warm hospitality you'll receive from Ruth and her sons. They're so welcoming and kind, and go above and beyond to take care of their guests. They seem genuinely happy to share their space with others, and will engage in conversations with you, and answer any questions you might have. My favorite part of camping is waking up in nature, and at Ruth's place, that comes with fresh Peruvian coffee and if you're lucky, beautiful piano playing by her son Marshall.
Definitely book this hipcamp if you're looking for a special camping experience :)

Lovely Redwoods Solstice Evening
I had a lovely solstice & full moon night at Ruth Tania's lovely Redwood property! Her and her son welcomed me warmly, and hosted with graciousness and kindness through my entire stay. The pool was perfect on a hot evening, and sipping wine overlooking her property and sunset from the comfortable deck while her son played incredibly on the piano made my evening sublime. I would highly recommend for solo travelers to groups of friends or family that want to have several private spots to camp, but to share the same property. The amenities are robust: lovely tent spots, a bathroom, outdoor sink, shower, swimming pool, hammocks, trampolines, large deck, gracious hosts!

Slice of Heaven in the Redwoods
I absolutely loved it here. A beautiful property nestled in a forest of redwoods. It is a short drive to Santa Cruz and some wonderful beaches on the coast. Hiking was close by. Ruth and her two sons were incredible hosts. The property was easy to find and communication was perfect. I felt so safe the entire time. They have a pool and a community deck which Ruth
