If you’re looking for a quiet getaway with a few close friends or your family, this option is for you. Tucked in along the South Fork of the American River, this beautiful campsite features picnic benches, a propane fire pit with propane included (fire pits help prevent wildfires), and a prep table for fixing up those tasty fireside meals. Guests also have access to shared bathroom facilities (and yes, there are showers!), volleyball, ping pong, communal benches, a sink and dishwashing station, and a common swimming area along the river. Most sites are within a very short walking distance to the banks of the South Fork of the American River, this place is ideal for anyone interested in experiencing the beauty of the foothills and the rush of the river. We offer both tent and RV sites. Each RV site includes its own picnic table, water and (30Amp) power hookups. Guests will also have access to our volleyball court, ping pong, communal benches, and a common area with a sink and dishwashing station. Additionally, you can access the swim area and go for a dip to cool off on a hot day. If you're looking to steal some time away to reconnect and camp, this is the place for you. People of all ages can camp out, swim, and play. We offer toilets, showers, trash disposal, potable water and more depending on the site you chose. Pets are allowed as well. Enjoy biking, fishing, hiking, horseback riding, paddling, climbing, swimming, whitewater rafting, and wildlife watching all nearby, or on site.

Hilltop Tent Site
This was a wonderful campsite, with many nice shaded places for tents, covered picnic benches, propane fire pit and wash basin. There was ample parking right next to the site and easy access to the river, bathrooms and showers. Really loved our stay here!

Riverside Tent Site
The river site is absolutely wonderful. Quite private but the open to all river spot is right in the other side of some bushes. You will hear noise and you will have to share river beach with people, but I didn’t have any issues other than just a lot of noise. I loved meeting Kris and being able to share how much I love hipcamping. I loved being able to walk from my site to the river to get in over and over again. I took morning cold plunges and a late night swim because it stayed light until after 9. The propane firepit was perfect for after the swims. The campground was extremely loud though with campers yelling and making about of noise way past midnight. Quiet hours were not respected. That is my only issue. Lack of consideration for others peace. Besides that, this was an amazing spot and I hope to return

Larry RV Site
Larry site!
I stayed at the Larry site! Pretty well shaded. Lot is a good size for my Rv (25ft)! Big table! fire pit was there! I Love fires when camping but this time to hot! Water and electric! Sad no dump for grey take. Bathrooms and shower available, very well kept up! Great area for party’s, picnic area bbqs, ping pong, corn hole, and close to the river! Great time will go back!!!

Curley RV Site
Fifth Wheel paradise!
We have a large 40ft fifth wheel and the Curley site accommodated us beautifully. We didn’t have any issues over filling our tanks. Bathrooms and showers are on site and close by to help with that. There were five of us including two kids and a dog. We stayed 4 nights and had a very nice time. It was hot but, nothing the river couldn’t cool down. Chair in the water, drink in my hand, watching my kids play and having a great time. This is definitely one of our favorite places to get away. Kris is an amazing host and we appreciate all of her and her husband’s hard work keeping this place in great shape. We can’t wait to return.

Moe RV Site
Highly recommend the Mo site!
My family and I booked the Mo and Curley sites for a 2-night stay for our three small families. We had a great time and the location was perfect! The host, Kris, was friendly and communicative leading up to the stay and we even got to say hi before leaving on Sunday. The sites were right next to each other which was super convenient, and each had hookups, a propane fire pit, and a large picnic table. There was good tree coverage for shade and we didn't need the shade structure we brought. It was about a 5 minute walk to the river where there was a little beach and rarely more than just one or two other families. The communal bathrooms were very clean and stocked with plenty of TP. The toilets were normal, flushing toilets and there was running water and soap to wash your hands. We had reserved a rafting trip at H20 Saturday morning which turned out to be the property just next door to the camp (we ended up walking instead of driving and it took <10 min; they noted that we probably could have gotten there in minutes floating down the river :D). We mostly ate at camp but it was a short drive into town if you wanted to get coffee, food, or craft beer. Quick notes on the Mo site - We had a Ford Expedition and six person tent at this site and everything fit just right.
