We had a great time, and enjoyed our stay.
Campground was clean, very well maintained and the lake was very beautiful with warm water for the kids to play.
The owners were super friendly, we will be coming back for sure.

Quiet little getaway
What a great quiet spot, tucked away. Love that it's off the grid. Very original. Would definitely stay here again. Short and sweet visit. Portapotty available. Bathrooms and showers available. Water spigots throughout. Clean campground. Fire pit in the site. Able to fit the Class C RV comfortably with still plenty of room.

Affordable & Fair Listing
This is my first Hip Camp stay. I don’t know what to expect. My search parameters were that the camp site included a shower. I had never heard of Copperopolis. The road in was rough, with single lane passages high above the brown dry grass lands. To be fair I arrived after 11pm and left before 9am. The camp host was responsive and polite. At night the site was nearly charming with Christmas lights marking the arrival. I felt safe. Considering the the surroundings feeling safe was a major positive check mark. Rural and desolate the lawlessness of the land gave safe haven for the anonymous traveler looking to disappear and never be discovered again. The campsite was neat and tidy. I slept comfortably in the open air allowing the mozzies to bite my skin freely leaving 20 or so bites. Get eco friendly repellent, not Deet. At 8am I walked to the showers and cleaned using the residual water line pressure. After my shower the camp host started the generator and the line pressurized, so I may never know the full water pressure potential. The shower and bathrooms were reasonably clean comparable to CA state campgrounds with public showers. And with some imagination one can see that maybe some time in the distant past this site was used, beloved, and cherished. Today, the Rock Creek channel runs shallow and slow, and the smell of sulfur lingers in the air. The birds sing and greet us in the morning. I am grateful of the open air. I don’t regret my stay, eager to see the next. 3.5/5

Our New Escape
We loved it here. Peppers spot specifically was a great spot, nice and long, the fire pit and picnic table is towards the back. None of the campsites are on the water (as we thought) but the beach is a short walk away. We saw lots of wildlife including a bald eagle catching a fish, deer, a gopher snake, and they have a cute cow on the property. Trina and John are absolutely wonderful people! Just the nicest caring hosts you could ask for. John even had to help a neighbor camper that locked their keys in the car and he patiently worked on it until he got the keys. He rides by and checks on the campers every evening. Very quiet, relaxing campground! There is no store onsite, so come prepared.
