The Playhouse at Spirit Walk
Beautiful and Revitalizing Refuge
John has created something truly special here. We had an incredibly comfortable and relaxing time in the Playhouse. Even though it was very hot, we were able to cool off in the stream made all the more beautiful and meaningful by our visit to the waterfall, as suggested by John. Every last detail seemed to be extraordinarily well thought out. The entire grounds function with great respect and regard to the environment without compromising comfort in the slightest. 10/10 recommend and will hopefully return for a visit again in the future.

BOOK IT!
The Stargazer site on John’s land is truly an experience. Keep in mind it is the farthest site from the parking area so if you have a lot of items, make sure to choose another one. It is the closest site to the red rock Creek, and the communal area was pristine with everything you need. I had the pleasure of meeting Ana one of the Retreat workers the day I was leaving and she was so sweet, and accommodating in helping me to navigate other places in the area I wanted to explore.
One of the main features I have to gush about is the outdoor shower! It is a new feature, and I don’t think it is advertised on their website just yet, but it was truly the highlight of my experience! It is not a place to party, it is not a place for large groups, it is a place to truly go and find yourself and experience some wonderful peace and quiet. I was lucky enough to have the entire place to myself for three days. Thank you so much again John and Ana. I will definitely be back.

So peaceful and perfect. All the amenities made our camping trip an even more amazing experience. Location is also perfect. Nestled in nature while just a 10 min drive from the lake.

The Playhouse at Spirit Walk
Oh, man! Where do I start? I was expecting some sort of catch for the bargain John offered with the playhouse… some sort of deal-breaking flaw just waiting to rear its head when we arrived. I’m happy to say I was disappointed in my anxiety. The playhouse and overall site experience was just phenomenal! The atmosphere was magical and extremely peaceful, the kitchen site was well equipped and clean apart from some overenthusiastic foliage and leaves, and overall the whole place just permanently held an air of calmness and serenity that can be hard to find anymore… my sincere thanks to John and his team for crafting a genuinely unique experience that won’t break your bank. By the way, John seems like a very chill guy, and the way he talks is calming and humorous at the same time while being highly informative and to the point. In addition, at every point my privacy felt respected and my brief interactions with the crew were all polite and more than friendly. For the price, I can’t recommend it more.. genuinely an unforgettable experience 😄

This is the perfect cozy cabin for a lovely stay at Spirit Walk. The bed is comfy and there's the convenience of a composting toilet and hot shower. Enjoy!
