NOTE: From mid-October through mid-April, only the A Frame site is available. Our tents are seasonal for the warmer months :) Soak in a cedar hot tub and Renu cold plunge nestled in an oak grove, then sleep in our A Frame or one of our two luxurious yurt-like tents. Venture into the clearing with open skies for truly amazing starry views at night. It's a peaceful retreat surrounded by pines and oaks, yet is still less than 15 minutes from the historic Gold Mining towns of Nevada City and Grass Valley. A composting toilet is housed in a beautiful, well maintained outhouse and a heated outdoor shower is located next to the hot tub and cold plunge. These as well as the hot tub/cold plunge area are shared between our two sites. PLEASE NOTE: While many guests have found each spot to feel private, it's important to mention that these are located in a large clearing behind our house. You'll have ample space and privacy, with the added convenience of having someone nearby if you need anything. A Frame
We loved the A-frame and found it to be such a charming, refreshing weekend getaway. Ellie and Jack were wonderful hosts and were extremely accommodating and kind. The property is quiet and beautiful—we felt there was lots of privacy but were close enough to town that it was easy to go do things. The cabin itself is really well designed and they thought about so many details which made our stay easy and comfortable. We hope to be back!

Delightful!
We made last-min change of plans due to the atmospheric river and avoiding snow, and Ellie & Jack were so accommodating! Perhaps it was the pouring rain lol, but we struggled to locate the A frame behind the house in the dark (despite the instructions & lanterns provided by E&J), so recommend arriving before nightfall if possible. We used the unit's camping stove & fridge & mini fireplace (so cozy!), and soaked in the hot tub. We even had a lovely view of the Orion constellation thru the A frame window when the clouds broke on Sat eve! Even the composting toilet was a delightful experience. Highly recommend!

So relaxing
It was absolutely beautiful and I loved the little features and thoughtful details of the A frame. I paid extra for the bedding which was so cozy. The hosts went the extra mile with creating quick videos on how to use the wood burning stove and I loved making my fires each morning. Not to mention the cedar hot tub was amazing at the end of a cold day hike!

A Frame
Staying on Ellie + Jack’s land was truly magical! The A-Frame is so cute and was the perfect experience for us. The hosts were super helpful in making sure we knew how to operate the stove to warm the cabin and to make sure we had everything we needed! The hot tub was a big plus, and the property felt like a nice, quiet fall wonderland. We spent a lot of time in downtown Nevada City, which was easy to drive to from the cabin. It really was a perfect autumnal trip!

Unreal spot! Our weekend stay was so peaceful and relaxing. The bed was extremely comfortable and everything was very clean. Would definitely recommend!
