Respect the Sacred
Much Respect and appreciation for the land and people of this sacred place for allowing us to visit and leave it in a good way. Eduah was very accommodating with his place. Eduah was nearby and communicated with care and hospitality. The in-tent stove is awesome The outhouse was thoughtful WiFi and power was a bonus Dog friendly Bed was comfy There’s a slight chance locals of the land may pass by to check the integrity and security of the areas. Which was totally understandable to us and was a peace of mind knowing that things were kept secure and people were accounted for. Thank You Klamath and Yurok people

I enjoyed staying on Eduah's Hipcamp! Great jumping off point for exploring the nearby Redwoods National and State Parks. Directions made it easy to find. There is a property nearby that uses a generator at night, but you can't see it so still feels pretty private. Would definitely recommend checking it out!

Fun place out in nature. There’s an outhouse and a nice tent fixed with a bed and a couch. Would highly recommend.

Klamath River Fish Camp
This is definitely a must for a unique place to stay. We always look for these types of set-ups and we loved it. Grateful for the wood stove. We drive across country and sleep in a converted 4Runner, but when you see places like this you stay for the experience of it all. We loved it so much we will be doing a similar set up on property we have :)

So Much More Than We Expected...
We showed up expecting a plot of land to pitch a tent. That's far from what we got from Eduah. A spacious tent is already pitched and sturdy. There's a wood burning stove in the tent to use as heat, or to cook your food. The tent is furnished, including a small couch! There's even a wifi option, which is super helpful because service is really bad everywhere in The Redwoods. Eduah also built a beautiful outhouse! Don't forget to sign it while you're in there. There's a marker placed in there for that purpose. As if that wasn't enough, he added some really sweet finishing touches. Things like wax melts, a travelers journal, and a survival guide. Even things you'd never expect to be included, like firewood and water. As far as the area, the site is secluded and a bit hard to find. Meaning it's dark and quiet. You won't have to worry about kids screaming and playing loudly as soon as the sun pops up, unless they're your kids! There's a river close by to clean up at. Eduah told us that it's actually an ancient river bed, which is really cool to think about while you're there. The area is beautiful. Also regarding the area, please remember this site is on Native land. It is a privilege and an honor to be invited into these spaces. Please respect the land, the site, and your host, Eduah. "The Earth does not belong to us. We belong to the Earth." So take nothing but memories and leave nothing but footprints.
