Enjoy the comforts of home—including flush toilets, showers, and a kitchen.
160 acres of golden rolling Sonoma County Farmland. We are a 4th generation cattle ranch that lies between Petaluma and Sebastopol. We are a 20-minute drive from the ocean, a 15-minute drive from downtown Petaluma, and a 15-minute drive from downtown Sebastopol. You will feel a million miles away from the city, but it’s a quick trip to some of the best restaurants, wineries, hikes, and coastlines in Sonoma and Marin counties. This piece of land is wild and rambling with forests, seasonal creeks, windy hilltops, green valleys, and plenty of sky. When you stay with us you’ll see lots of Scottish highland cattle, tiny goats, hawks, and tons of birds riding the wind, and beautiful open pastures. This is a working piece of land with a family living on it, so you will see us come and go throughout the day. Feel free to say hi! But if you are feeling private you can rest assured we aren't keen to pester you. This site is a restored 36’ midcentury Spartan Trailer on a working Sonoma County cattle ranch. The home is nestled into a cool forest with a small rustic garden, and a generous deck with sweeping views of forest and fields. You'll see Scottish Highland cattle, tiny goats, hawks, and birds of all sorts, and lots and lots of rural wine country. It very comfortably sleeps 2 with a queen-sized bed in the bedroom, and has a separate living room and kitchen. Dining is situated on the deck. There is a full, but small kitchen with an oven and a fridge, a full, but small bathroom with a petite pink bathtub, and comes fully stocked with clean linens including towels. There is a heater for the winter, and the space is generally a few degrees cooler than town during the summer. A few considerations before booking: -This listing is for a vintage travel trailer and might not be suited to those who have mobility issues, or anyone who is especially tall or large. If you have any questions about this being a comfortable space for your specific needs just ask! -Water is always a concern so we ask that our guests be mindful of their showers and dishes. Save some of that water for the cows! -Fires are not allowed during the summer or fall. -we ask that folks do not enter the cattle pasture. Our cows are pretty curious, but a bull is still a bull. Our fences are quite secure and exists for a reason so don't climb over them! -sorry no dogs! If your dog gets into a tussle with a cow thats a tragedy for all involved. -the ranch road is gravel and dirt. Most every car can manage it (we have a friend who drives a Miata up it!) but be advised there is an incline at the first part of the road and it's dirt all the way up. -we live here! You will have a few cars drive past throughout the day as we go about our business. We mind our own business and are not keen to pester you.
