Welcome to Yosemite Colfax Spring! Home to a basecamp for river rafting trips during the summertime, we are located 15 minutes driving distance to the entrance to Yosemite National Park. If you are staying with us between May - September and want to come rafting, ask us about our river trips! Our camp sits on a ridge with views down into the Tuolumne River Canyon. The Tuolumne River begins at 13,000 feet of elevation in the High Country of Tuolumne Meadows and provides drinking water for over 2.7 million people in San Francisco. With cedar and pine trees, manzanita bushes, and wildflowers in the spring, enjoy the Sierras' flora and fauna. Our family has been operating our river rafting company for over 50 years, the last 11 of those years being here at Colfax Spring. Conveniently located off Highway 120, we are in close proximity to swimming holes, hikes, and more. Enjoy the privacy of our campsite and getting world-class views to yourself, with all of the amenities (flushing toilets, wi-fi, showers.) Make sure to check the Yosemite National Park website for information about reservations to visit the park!

Hot shower and amazing views!
Stayed here while visiting Yosemite and had a wonderful time! The views were incredible and we made sure to wake up and see sunrise. The showers and bathrooms were such a luxury after a long day hiking in the park. I highly recommend this camp to anyone who couldn’t get campsites inside of Yosemite. It is about an hour drive into the heart of it, on very twisty mountain roads.

Exceptional bathrooms and views. Didn’t quite expect such high quality of bathrooms while out near Yosemite. It was quite easy to get to and from Yosemite as well. Looking forward to staying on future nights

BEST. CAMPSITE. EVER!! What a spectacular cliff view into a valley with four waterfalls! Beautiful sunrise and sunset views from this spot. Nice, clean restroom facilities and glorious hot showers! Super quiet. We stayed two nights and enjoyed it so much! Thank you, Liza and Tom!

Convenient to Yosemite!
Camping at this site was great, easy access to Yosemite NP. Briefly met Tom, nice guy. Shower/bathroom was an epic feature, having a level surface for the tent was nice, and of course a picnic table is a nice touch. Wi-fi around the shower house was convenient so we could plug directions in our phone prior to heading out for the day and check in on our pet/house sitter. Beautiful sunset views. The highway is kind of noisy throughout the night but if you have a busy day and are tired enough that doesn’t matter.
