A mountaintop ranch in Colorado that sits below the famous Colorado “14er”, Pikes Peak. This property sits on top of a mountain at an elevation of nearly 10,000ft and features 3 unique Glamping sites! The ranch features a tiny cabin, geodesic dome tent and platform canvas tent. The sites sit on 100 acres of private, pristine Colorado mountain land that offers over 3 miles of private hiking trails and unrivaled views in all directions. A large, mature aspen grove covers most of the property and views to the south stretch over 100 miles! Despite being on a mountain, over 70% of the property sits on level or gently sloping ground making it perfect for camping spots and events. The Eastern edge borders public land, infinitely expanding access and hiking opportunities. It’s only 1,500 feet from a large reservoir and river- both are accessible by hiking or an easy 5 minute drive. 105 West Ranch also has some deep and unique history. Our area was originally surveyed in 1881. After that, miners came through in the late 1800s and dug prospector pits looking for gold. Many of these pits and even some old tin cans from miner's camps are still visible on the property today. In 1931, the area was re-surveyed with more accuracy. In 1936, the President of the United States, FDR, granted a land patent (homestead) of 632 acres to homesteader. Part of this 632 acre homestead granted by the President was what is now 105 West Ranch. Fast forward nearly 100 years. My wife, Rachel, and I bought this property in 2019, fulfilling a life-long dream of owning our own land. Rachel and I live for the outdoors, we work in the outdoor industry and spend every chance we get exploring our beautiful state with our two dogs. As a 4th generation Coloradan, it's been a lifelong dream to own a (relatively) small part of the state my family has called home since the late 1800s. Now that we own our own piece of Colorado heaven we want to share the unforgettable experience, memories and beauty of our property with others looking for an escape from the city.

Canvas Tent with 100 Mile Views
We loved our stay! The property was gorgeous- pictures can’t do it justice. Mile-long views of mountains and forests from all directions. We spent a wonderful morning exploring the miles of trails across the property. We even found the abandoned mine that Jeff included on the map. After a peaceful morning, we visited the nearby town of Cripple Creek (~30 minute drive). We visited the museum, took a train ride, and learned about the area’s rich history as a center of the gold rush. The one caveat to be aware of is that bugs can enter the tent through the gaps in the floorboard, so we had quite a few moth visitors each night. They left us alone once the lights were turned off, but just something to be aware of if you hate bugs. Thank you!

Dome Tent with 100 Mile Views
The Dome tent was such a wonderful stay. The space was cosy with incredible views and plenty of space to wander. once we got settled we took the time to go for a little walk and when we got back we set up the camp stove and grilled on the front deck while we enjoyed the sun starting to set. The dome has a queen-sized bed that is clean and ready for us to make with our own camp bedding. As the weather was turning we stayed in the dome while we ate dinner and enjoyed the incredible view. Jeff was super easy to connect with and he sent plenty of info before we got there so we could find everything and feel comfortable while we were there. The next day we went into Victor and enjoyed a little walk about the town and had fun learning about the area's history. I would very much recommend this spot for a little getaway.

Dome Tent with 100 Mile Views
DomeLife at 10,000 Feet!!
This place is incredible!! Jeff has a little slice of heaven up at 10,000 feet. We were blown away by the views as we approached the dome. This is a leaf peepers paradise. The dome is situated in a great location that allows for privacy. The dome is as cool as it looks!! We were enjoying the eclipse. The dome is warm even in cold weather, bed is comfy. The hiking trails were perfect and we enjoyed the hammocks and fire pit. I was the envy of all my friends as I showed off the pics on social media. Might be hard to book this one again due to my word of mouth recommendations. PEACE!!

Cozy Tiny Cabin Nestled in Aspens
Aspen Grove Tiny Home
We loved this stay as getting there took us exploring in an area of Colorado with which we are less familiar. Upon arriving at the tiny home, we were overjoyed to be set in the quaking fall aspens complete with many deer sightings. We loved that this tiny home was off-grid, and incredibly well thought out to provide all the amenities ourselves, and our two pups could need for a stay. In exploring the land we were pleased to find beautiful lookouts, and a thoughtful layout. We appeared to have the property to ourselves during our stay which offered a solitude you can only find at 10,000 feet!

Canvas Tent with 100 Mile Views
Great experience. Tent had everything needed for a comfortable night's stay. The gas fireplace and tent heater definitely came in handy on a cold night. Loved our morning visit from the neighborhood cows too. The views cant be beat and although their were others camping in the area, we never heard a thing. Super peaceful.
