Mountaintop Boulder Cave
Boulder Bedding > Magnificent View
Upon arrival, I was met by a friendly and welcoming barefoot mountain biker. He showed me to a beautiful secluded forested camp site with fire ring. We also hiked (he biked) a few minutes to bouldered cliffs where he pointed out spots among the rocks ("caves" is exaggerating) where I could also sleep. I chose a secluded somewhat flat open spot among boulders and slept soundly. I awoke to a magnificent view as the area was high up on a mountain edge. Highly recommended (even though there are no toilet facilities).

Mountaintop Forest Tent 500
Chris had a really nice camping spot surrounded by trees! It was a peaceful spot to relax. He guided us to exactly where we should go. The nearby gulch was beautiful and a great place to do some walking. The resident dog was very friendly.

Mountaintop Forest Overlook Tent
Not as listed
Sadly, this site is not as advertised. The host kindly welcomed us in about midnight, after a bit of a hunt as GPS coordinates are not correct. There are no leveled sites for a tent, no running water or toilet that guests can access. Although the property is quiet and in a beautiful area, I wouldn’t recommend it.

Mountaintop Forest Gulch Tent
The host was most courteous and our spot was quite peaceful. I enjoyed the mini hike we had and view was definitely nice!
Mountaintop Forest Overlook Tent
Chris has a beautiful piece of land outside of Conifer. Aspens and lots of big rocks to climb. A ten year olds dream. Unfortunately it was quite loud (not Chris's fault) due to the echos of neighbors using table saws late and air compressors in the early morning. Not Chris's fault but don't know if this will be others experience with this rural neighborhood. Certainly not remote but also pretty and good exploring on the property. One other note is that the tent site is a shallow (natural) layer of dirt with rock below. We couldn't stake the tent down but there were lots of heavy enough rocks to secure it successfully besides the high winds. Overall we would stay here again if we needed a place to sleep in Conifer, but perhaps not if we were looking for a nature getaway. Chris and family were very responsive and friendly.
