Great Views
The campground had a great view of the mountains and was easy to find, even at night! It was convenient to have a picnic table, grill, fire ring and port-a-potties. However, I would not recommend this campground when it's windy. The campground is in a wild open field with no trees or plants to block any wind. Unfortunately, there was strong winds blowing from multiple directions that almost blew away our tent and broke our tent poles. This is at no fault to the campground or host, but it is something to consider while booking.

No frills, Simple Site
It was easy to find and only 20 minutes from the dunes. Meadowlarks were singing in the morning and the view is beautiful. We were the only people there that weekend.

Awesome spot along the Blanca Mountains. All your basic needs are there. The sink didn’t work to pump water or drain so be mindful when cleaning and doing dishes. Close to the dunes, Zapata Falls and sand Dunes recreation. No telescope available sadly. Bed was super comfy.

Private, secluded, and serene
We loved this tiny house! The location is incredible for visiting Great Sand Dunes National Park, only about 20 minutes away. The amenities were great—we loved having the stove, games, the picnic table out front, and the clean portapotty outside. It was also cool to learn how the solar power worked. We thought it'd be chilly without a heater, but the loft bed was actually quite warm. I'd recommend if you're looking for a place to stay near the national park, whether you want a few more comforts in the tiny house, or one of the tent campsites also on the land, which were in great shape.
