Best for self-contained campers. There are no toilets, showers, or potable water at this Hipcamp.
Get away from it all with almost 6 acres of quiet secluded land with panoramic mountain views. This space is good for camping, hiking, nature views, and stargazing. Good location for small or large tents, cars, and RVs. It says '1 RV/Tent' but you may bring up to 2 RVs and as many tents as you need to accommodate 15 individuals. Can accommodate up to 15 people - Please note there is no toilet or facilities on site. You must bring your own camping toilet. ~3 hours away from Denver airport ~2.5 hours away from Colorado Springs airport ~1 hour away from Eleven Mile State Park ~1 hour away from Spinney Mountain Park ~30 minutes to downtown Hartsel You are responsible for your own safety and the safety of your dependents at the campsite.Get away from it all with almost 6 acres of quiet secluded land with panoramic mountain views. This space is good for camping, hiking, nature views, and stargazing. 4x4 HIGHLY recommended. You will drive for about 30 minutes on a dirt road that is very rocky. If you use Google maps and enter the address, it will take you to the correct location. The beginning and end of the camping area is marked by white rocks with a red lighted marker. See photos for reference. As you walk up the hill you will notice a fire pit with the rocks painted white. That is probably the flattest area on the land and a perfect place to set up camp to catch sunrise and sunset. If you have T mobile, there’s a really good chance you will have 5G signal right by the fire pit. Please extinguish any and all fires that you start on the property. You will notice red and or orange markers around the property marking the camping zone that extend down the hill and in a rectangular square area. Please stay within these markers while you camp. Panoramic Mountain Views Colorado
Beautiful but very exposed
Beautiful and remote, this is the place for you if you want to camp and not be bothered. The pictures make it clear that this is a very exposed area, but we definitely underestimated that. There wasn’t a tree in sight, which makes things hot and windy. The wind gusts were intense at times, and blew away our canopy within a few hours despite anchoring it down well (or so we thought). I would recommend this area for trailer camping but maybe not tent camping as one storm or strong gust of wind can push a tent to the brink. Google maps took us right to the address, but it wasn’t clear where the property lines were, and we had to drive around a bit to find a rock fire ring and a flat spot to set up. That being said, the sunset and stars were beautiful, and we didn’t see another soul the whole time we were camping. It’s about an hour from the closest town (Harstel) and about 40 min on a narrow, rocky dirt road (depending on how fast you drive - we were in a Suburu but took it slow). Definitely no cell service. It was cool to see a remote part of Colorado but I’m not sure I’d pay $50/night again.

Panoramic Mountain Views Colorado
Amazing, wide open space…one of the most beautiful, secluded, in-nature campsites I’ve ever camped at. A little pricey but it’s worth the experience

Amazing secluded land with view!
Great place to camp if you want to be far away from others and look up at the beautiful night sky, with a view of mountains! We loved it. 30 minute drive on a dirt road to get to the camp spot. Host was great! She let us stay there the night before scheduled :)
