Amazing views
Hipcampers say this spot has amazing views.
The Rabbit Hole Ranch offers beautiful unobstructed views of the majestic Blanca Massif and the Great Sand Dunes and is just a (gorgeous) 35 minute drive from both to include Zapata Falls. The Great Sand Dunes National Park is a must-see, and I am grateful for the opportunity to offer you a place nearby to set up camp and go exploring. Alamosa, the largest town in the SLV, is just 20 minutes away. With a population of around 9,800 Alamosa has that small town feel and has the goods and services you will need. Camping here at the Rabbit Hole Ranch is primitive and dispersed (no numbered sites) and there 30 acres available for you to use. Typically, you will experience a rare kind of solitude and silence that feels…. other-worldly, with incredible sunrises and sunsets filling the enormous skies. On holidays, however, expect it to be busy. Our two Great Pyrenees are here to help keep you and your pets (and our chickens) safe. Please help make their jobs easier by not leaving any food or trash in or around tents. Please keep your pets on leash or under control until you’re comfortably certain they get along with all three of our dogs. This year we have a new Great Pyrenees to greet you, his name is TheoVon and he is huge! Returning this season is KayLee also a GP and and Finn, who is a little Benji lookin rescue from Alaska who just LOVES everyone. :) Quiet time begins at 10:00 pm. Note: Holidays still offer the excellent location and spectacular views, but are likely to be less quiet and far more busy. We do not strictly enforce quiet time during holidays.

Rabbit Hole Ranch
Camping at RHR
Rabbit hole ranch was very nice! The view of the mountain and dunes was great, the camp site was awesome, and the only thing you could hear was nature. If it's been rainy it is difficult on the dirt roads but the camp site was great and Jeff was really helpful. Dogs are friendly and got along well with our dog.

Beautiful oasis, just take caution!
Truthfully we had an enjoyable time camping and experiencing the surrounding beauty of Rabbit Hole Ranch, but would likely not visit another time as it’s just not our personal cup of tea. Jen and team were great but after some reflection, our suggestions for improvement would include: making it overtly, abundantly clear to not use Google maps to access the property. Especially after speaking with nearby campers who agreed on this. Google unfortunately led us down a fence blocked road, through high waters and mud that we thought were just part of a previously received warning of such, on the entry road. It wasn’t the entry road, and the conditions were of course worse than meets the eye. I’m no off-roading professional in our Toyota although do have a little experience, and let’s just say we were lucky to have gotten ourselves out of there in high 4/crawl combo in the middle of the dark night with nearly no service after some teamwork and finagling. (We later received messages with help offers as was appreciated) The actual entrance road was better, but still warranted a moderate amount of caution because of the intense rainstorms that day. If it were up to us, we’d deem this a 4x4 only property out of abundance of caution due to high water levels in many areas. But understand those conditions lend themselves to weather, and other times any car can easily access the space. We loved the sights, and natural beauty, which undoubtedly made up for these mishaps. UNREAL sunsets!!!

Rabbit Hole Ranch
My word! Camp here! However, follow the directions Ms Jen put down. She means it:) what a fantastic spread. The camp puppies are adorable and will watch over you like a mom. The view is otherworldly and the night sky is just breathtaking. Don’t forget to get your firewood when you pull into the grounds. That man who sells it is a good man. Cheers Ms Jen I will be back❤️❤️❤️

Beautiful site with friendly dogs!
One of my favorite sites I’ve stayed at. Very private, serene location. The stars were absolutely stunning. But the highlight of the site has to be their dogs! The three pups were very friendly and sweet and sat by our site watching out for us! Amazing site, would definitely recommend.
