You will find a wide variety of vegetation and wildlife; Southwest Sage, Cactus, Ponderosa, Pinion, and Pine trees, Mule Deer, Turkey, Fox, Rabbits, Bald Eagles, and Red Tail Hawks to name a few. Learn more about this land: 600 Acre working farm, with two miles of the La Plata River running through it and spectacular views of the La Plata Mountains and Sleeping Ute Mountain. You will find a wide variety of vegetation and wildlife (Southwest Sage, Cactus, Ponderosa, Pinion, and Pine trees, Mule Deer, Turkey, Fox, Rabbits, Bald Eagles, and Red Tail Hawks to name a few) . Guests are encouraged to explore this beautiful piece of the southwest. The Farm is located just 12 miles from La Plata Canyon, 15 miles from Durango, 15 miles from Lake Nighthorse, and 35 miles from Mesa Verde National Park. There is one large campground that can hold up to 5 RV's and 1 secluded tent small camper site to choose from. Guest are welcome to purchase vegetables and fresh farm eggs.

Peaceful!

Wonderful place to camp when visiting the Durango area. We loved hearing the river and enjoying campfires at night. This is a very peaceful and relaxing place to spend a few days!

Simple Yet Beautiful Camping Spot

This campsite is a beautiful little spot, tucked between the trees with a stream flowing through the middle. Perfect for getting a camping experience that feels like camping, not “glamping,” but being convenient nonetheless. Our host Erin was very kind and made check in and checkout simple. Me and my friend had a great time here and would definitely come back if we wanted to camp near Durango and Mesa Verde

Site 1 - Tranquility @ The Farm

This site was absolutely fantastic for our family. It was my husband and I, and our 4 children with 2 dogs. The site was easy to find, easy to get to, very secluded, and had everything we needed. It’s a short distance to the river, so it was easy access for our children to play in the river, and we were able to listen to the river flowing as we slept! We were able to have dogs off leash, we had access to electric, non-pottable water, grill, fire pit (tons of firewood available around site), picnic table, and trash can. Such a great site to camp! Also, the owner is very kind, and was helpful during our stay! Overall, we had an amazing time here and would definitely recommend it.
