Lakeside Apple Orchard
We had a fantastic weekend here. It’s a beautiful property with great views! This is definitely a campsite I’d recommend, especially for a group looking to get together. There were plenty of picnic tables and a big, beautiful fire pit with lots of seating. There were twinkle lights hanging from the trees which really added to the beauty of the place in the evenings.
For our first camping trip in a long time, it was perfect, especially since we were just 5-10 minutes from various stores. The fishing was also great—my husband caught a bunch of bass!
I did expect the grass to be a bit more maintained. There was a lot of tall grass, and a tick got on my husband. Being right next to the lake, we had to deal with a bunch of bugs and mosquitoes. Those things are inevitable in nature of course, but we hadn’t thought about how much worse it would be, being so close to a lake.
The only other issue we had was that the porta potties were pretty gross. Since it’s a private campsite, I thought they’d be better maintained, but they are porta potties after all.
Overall, it was a great weekend. The hosts were wonderful and gave us plenty of privacy! I would definitely recommend this spot!

Awesome spot! The site has a vibe at night with plenty of space for dining and sharing good stories by the fire. Spectacular views at sunrise. Pups loved all the birds and sounds of nature. Highly recommend!

Beautiful Views!
The views were beautiful with lots of birdsong, big cottonwood trees and very peaceful . … as we happened to be the only ones there!
It had rained the night before so some areas were muddy but no problem finding a flat area to park our camper van. Mosquitoes at dusk close to the reservoir.
The area was easy to find and we recommend.

We stopped for the night on our cross country trip. It was excellent, Anson was quick to respond to any questions, place was well kept and stunning. We left wishing we could have stayed longer!
