We set up our campsite to be a unique place where guests could be as close to nature as possible, while retaining some of the basic comforts of home. Think wildflower meadow with hot showers! We've gone for ultimate peace and tranquility, with a very limited number of pitches mown into the wildflowers with lots of space between. Our remote site is far from roads or light pollution, making for serene starry nights around the firepit. The camping meadow is bordered by woodlands, a small nature reserve, and the gardens of a stunning Tudor manor house, all of which you're free to explore. Nestled in a remote and picturesque corner of West Dorset, the campsite is within easy reach of some of the South West's most stunning spots, from world-famous fossil beaches to neolithic hill-forts.Want to be surrounded by nature, rather than other campers? Natural camping

The layout of this campsite was great with clearly market out spaces with short grass among the long wide area. Everything was outside from showers (which were hot) , toilet's (compost toilets) and washing up area ( two outside sinks). Surrounded by woodlands and fields.

Absolutely bloody wonderful!

I fully intend to come back next year and explore the land more. It was so quiet and peaceful and they've separated different sites so you're not on top of each other. Everyone was lovely and welcoming, they let us explore the grounds. So well equipped with compost toilets, hot showers and a sink set up to do your washing up... bloody lovely! I'll be seeing you next year for sure!

The campsite was great. Very quiet and plenty of space between pitches. Enjoyed seeing the sky while having an outdoor shower, which were lovely and hot. Warden was very helpful and attentive. Would definitely go back to this campsite again if it was closer to home.

Our stay at Benville Manor Camping

We stayed for the weekend at Benville Manor and were really impressed with the surrounding countryside, friendly team and hosts on site and well thought out tent pitches. There were toilets, showers and wash facilities just a short walk from the tent. The tent pitches were mown into a wild meadow which had large spaces in between which gave us plenty of room. A really peaceful stay!
