Explore 11+ acres of rustic and untamed woods. We are two military veteran families who enjoy the land as a place for family and friends to explore, camp, and relax at the 250+ feet of the East Bay beach. Primitive camping is permitted at designated wooded high grounds in the middle of the property. It is a 5 and 10-minute rugged hike in to the middle ground and waterfront, respectively. The trail remains under development, so please bring close-toed shoes or boots for hiking throughout the property (depending on rainfall, there may be mud and water). Our Glamper is a 10x12 canvas furnished tent located a short but rugged 2-minute hike from parking. It provides the opportunity to go camping without having to pack all the gear. Our location is minutes from the Emerald Coast - 7 mins to Navarre Beach, - 30 mins to Pensacola Beach, - 15 mins to Naval Live Oaks, - 45 mins to Fort Pickens, - 50 mins to NAS Pensacola, - 45 mins to Santa Rosa Island, - 35 mins to Okaloosa Island, - 40 mins to Destin. Recommended local restaurants: St. Michael's Brewery which has rotating food trucks and is family friendly, Ye Olde Brothers Brewery, Dewey Destin’s, Windjammers, TC’s Front Porch, Deb’s Coffee, The Eatery food truck park, Top’s Burgers, and New York Pizza Depot. Other sightseeing in the area includes: Museums: National Naval Aviation Museum, Air Force Armament Museum, Fort Pickens, Indian Temple Mound Museum, Pensacola Museum of Art, Museum of Industry, and Destin History & Fishing Museum Additional activities include: Navarre Beach Sea Turtle Conservation Center, HH Arts Gallery, Emerald Coast Science Center, Gulf Breeze Zoo, and Gulfarium Marine Adventure Park.

The Glamper at Bay Forest

Home away from Home

If you’re looking for a beautiful place to go Glamping that has both the beauty of the forest and the beauty of the Ocean, Look no further! This place has wonderfully well put together camping sites. The tents are clean and put up correctly. They are large enough to accommodate a couple very comfortably. In Glamper 1 they put a shell wind chime in the center of the tent above the bed and when the wind blows it makes this beautiful hollow sound that literally will send you drifting to sleep. While the property is somewhat close to the road it’s pretty difficult to hear it from where you’re staying. The water is very close but the trees are so thick that you can’t see it from your campsite and is neat how you feel like you’re in a completely different world in the matter of a 2-3 minute walk. The Owners were extremely helpful and very accommodating. They made sure I had every thing I needed and I was able to locate my tent and was comfortable. This place is is going to be very popular I can tell. I don’t live too far from here and plan on using this place more frequently for a quick stay-cation get away.

The Glamper at Bay Forest

Wonderful camping trip

My family and I loved staying in the glamper. The scenery was beautiful and there were so many thoughtful little touches everywhere to make our stay enjoyable. Hilary took great care of us and was quick to reply to any questions. All the paths were well marked, the potty was clean, site was clean and mowed, and the bed was very comfortable. The outdoor garden shower was a novelty and we all tried it! The glamper was definitely large enough to accommodate the two boys in their sleeping bags with lots of room to move around. We enjoyed using the kayaks provided and our two boys fished all day yesterday. It was a great stay and we will be back. I definitely recommend staying here.

The Glamper at Bay Forest

Glamper #1

Me and my family of 5(3 kids, 2 adults) stayed over the weekend at Glamper #1. Tent is a decent size for all of us, the walk TO the tent was a hassle but we expected it. Prepare to pack light or make multiple trips. There was only 1 chair available and not 3 like pictured on the pictures as well as no hammock like in the picture. Portable potty was clean and overall was good.

Bay Forest Primitive Retreat

The land is beautiful! From the palmettos to the oaks. It took us a bit to acclimate, though it was nice being the only ones camping out there during our stay. Accessing the waterfront and using the kayak was worthwhile, along with witnessing the sunset over the water.

Listing looks nothing like the pictures. No cute picnic table and chair set up, everything was a little rough. Overgrown and moldy.
