We had a great time at the KOA. I hope the KOA sends me a review request so I can tell everyone that I met the second best Lincoln. Lincoln at the office made the visit so awesome and easy. Bathrooms were really clean and pool was heated and fun even when it was cool outside. It is right off I-10 so if you don’t realize that, and hate the noise, you can hear traffic. But it’s fine. Some one did come around and turn lights on in the other empty campsites and they are bright. We assumed it was for people coming in but no one showed up. We did go turn them off and no one got mad at us. Bottom line. It’s a great place.
Everyone that works there is really nice and willing to help you if you have any questions.
The campground was very clean and tidy. The bathrooms were AC’d, had great water pressure and plenty of hot water. The main reason I booked the sight was to be able to relax in the pool in the heat of the day, but it was in the process of being replaced so we didn’t get the chance. I didn’t sleep well in our tent between the highway noise and the bright lights at every sight but I should have expected that given its close proximity to the highway. You literally turn off the highway and onto their road. But we spent most of our time at Navarre Beach, about a 20 minute drive away (very lovely) and only really came to the campground to shower and sleep. As a pit stop for a few nights, it certainly worked out just fine. I felt safe there and like the grounds were well looked after.
The KOA at Milton is a very clean, nicely put together campground. We had a great stay, and they have a lot of amenities we didn’t use, but would be great for families and RVs. The bathrooms/showers in both locations were well kept and did not appear old. We tent camped and the area for it was very nice, they even moved us to a spot with electric and water, with a sand pad, after I misunderstood the booking through Hipcamp. Very thankful for the consideration shown, even though it was my mistake. They also offered to put us in an empty cabin for the night if the weather got very bad. Luckily we were okay and it was just a mild thunderstorm but that was great to know they care about their guests. 10/10 would stay here again. Great location, 30 min from Navarre Beach.
Nice spot! Perfect for a weekend stopover. Then park is clean and nice and there are activities, too! I’m in the area often and will certainly be back!
