The farm you’re camping on is one of the last family farms remaining in Columbia County and is named Glenn Farm after DV Glenn who married Hettie Lou Niblack in the 1930’s. Over the last 150 years it has been farmed by some of the county’s oldest families such as the Niblack and Ellis families. When DV Glenn came to Florida from his farm in Cairo, GA he took over the portion of the Niblack farm that was inherited by his wife Hettie Lou. At that time he was running native Florida cattle on over 6000 acres. Unfortunately, In 1951 he was killed in a hunting accident leaving his wife with the farm and 4 children (ages 4-11). In order to survive, Hettie Lou Niblack Glenn was forced to sell 5000 acres at $25 an acre. Holding a bachelors degree from Florida State College for Women, she was able to secure a job at the University of Florida as a secretary and with the money from the land sale she was able to raise her four children. Of the original farm, 600 acres remain intact and the Glenn family is trying to keep the farm as an agricultural operation. Your campsite is 1 of three spots (Arrowhead Sink, Dunagan’s Meadow or Magnolia Sink). Dunagan’s meadow is a pasture behind the old farmhouse (built in 1844), Magnolia sink is also on the main farm while Arrowhead Sink is on the edge of a hayfield about a mile down a dirt road. Glenn Farm is a place to come relax and experience a world that is rapidly disappearing. It is not a commercial campground.

Arrowhead Sink
Excellent!!
From the time we arrived (my dog and I) Tom was quite the gracious host. He explained some of the history about the sink and the general rules regarding access to the sink. Unfortunately it had rained quite a bit and visibility was maybe 6 inches and not quite as inviting as clear blue water would have been. In any case the cavern where the sink is located is very pretty. It was also nice and cool, in contrast to the heat and humidity above. My dog wanted to stay there, LOL. The campsite itself is great, shady, easy pull through (teardrop trailer here), and has a fire ring and picnic table in good repair. The campsite also boasts a composting toilet. It works well enough and made it easier to take care of business. The cicadas are out en force!!! Holly moly! And they are quite loud. I did fall asleep after a while…. The early morning is truly spectacular in the pasture, there was a little ground fog and best of all, I counted 15 deer in the distance!! So cool!! I definitely recommend this site and Tom, of course!! I will be back when the weather is a bit cooler!

Arrowhead Sink
Private Oasis
Glenn Farm - we stayed at The Sink - was exactly what we were looking for when we planned our trip to northern Florida. We needed somewhere quiet, dark, remote, and safe. That's exactly what we found. The directions could not have been clearer, the communication better, or the host more welcoming. It was seamless and no stress. What a blessing for weary travelers! When Tom found out our plans included a busy spring nearby, he recommended a still-busy-but-less-so spring and told us the best places to visit. We even got a special tour of his farm looking at all the animals from sheep to a miniature Angus bull (I'm a city dweller so don't quote me on the breed). The land has been in his family for generations and he couldn't be more proud of it and willing to share it's history and lore, if you're interested. Tom is the consummate host willing to go above and beyond to make sure that your stay is the best possible. This was one of our favorite places we stayed and we'll definitely be back even if we have to tweak our agenda to fit availability on his land!

Dunagan’s Meadow
AMAZING TENT CAMPING
Tom was such an amazing host he was so hospitable and easy going im definitely coming back to stay at his other sites. we stayed in the Dungan meadow and it was truly picturesque. He has plenty of power on site you could run whatever you needed. And you literally share a field with 50-75 sheep which is so fun to wake up to, and then cows are in the adjacent field and Tom let's you interacting with all the animals and they where super friendly we even hand fed some cows! Side note went camping early June it was so hot during the days but once the sun went down we turned fans on in the tent and it was honestly cold in the tent.

Arrowhead Sink
Absolutely miraculous
Welllllll this will go down as on my favorite human experiences ever. There aren’t enough words to express my gratitude for the incredible space that Tom has provided. Everything came exactly exactly as advertised and was even more magical. Shortly upon arriving, Tom greeted us and was so kind as to give us a tour around the entire premises, showing us the animals such as the cows, the sheep, the goats, and the chickens. It was a little farm oasis. Tom and his family have an incredibly rich history that he is very open to sharing for anyone who is genuinely interested in hearing. The sink itself was very cool. Quite mysterious, and I found both the early times and late night times adventures in of themselves. And although typically most of these types of reviews are focused on the land of self, I have to say that Tom is an incredible human being. He pours his heart and soul into this land and goes above and beyond to make sure that the guest that stay here feel like they are at home. We are Undoubtedly, going to be coming back to this location. Thank you so much, Tom ❤️

Magnolia sink
I had the best weekend I could wish! This place is a little treasure: private, quite and at the same time it's safe. You'll be surrounded by nature sounds, free from the disturbances of other people or civilization noise. Tom and his mom are extremely hospitable, making the stay even more enjoyable.
