Legal action
There was so much drama. A sign posted saying the owner was not allowed to have campers. We were visited by someone who the owner of this site is suing. She wanted us to give a statement and asked us to be available for for future proceedings. Steve, the host never greeted us. There are NO amenities that he list..such as wifi, laundry or showers.

Beautiful land and horses, my kids enjoyed riding their bikes on the gently sloping hills. However I wouldn’t recommend camp site #2 due to a large abandoned rv parked very tightly next to us during our entire two week stay, blocking our view of nature. Also there was no church services which we had been looking forward to. Overall great though!

We were Hurricane Milton refugees and arrived at our spot at 2.30 AM. The property is very pretty and very quiet— no traffic noise whatsoever. The property has rolling hills, large canopies live oaks, and green carpets of grass. It’s about ten minutes from Monticello— the most haunted small town in America!

A slice of heaven! We were so fortunate to have found Hilltop. The property is absolutely beautiful and the camp spots quite spacious. Getting to know Steve the owner was truly a bonus as he continues to improve his offerings. We will be back!

Beautiful Property! 🐴✨

My family and I stayed at Hilltop Camp Resort in Monticello for two nights to start off our summer road trip. The beautiful, fenced in pastures and mature Oak Trees set the scene for the most beautiful campsite! The friendly horses on the property were a hit with our kiddos too! If you’re looking for some peace and quiet, and absolutely gorgeous starry skies at night, Hilltop Camp Resort is a must see. Not only did we love the campsite, but the small town of Monticello is quaint and majestic with family owned coffee shops, storefronts, historic homes & buildings, and such a friendly community! Steve is very responsive and helpful. We all had a wonderful time, and will most definitely be back!

Steve's property is beautiful, gated entry was a tad intimidating but you have to go through the gate to access the new full hookup campsites, we stayed on Site 7 which has a 50 amp only electrical but we only needed 20 amp but was able to access 20 amp on site 6 with two extension cords. Very quiet and peaceful there, tack room has bath tub and a laundry tray for those that are light on the plumbing in the camper, our water filter was appreciated as the water is sulphery but don't let that chase you off it's a beautiful spot.
