Mary's campsite offers a quiet escape with a charming garden and ample space for kids to play. However, there are some issues with clarity in booking, as some guests found an RV already occupying their reserved spot or had trouble distinguishing between RV and tent sites. Communication with the host can be hit or miss, as some guests struggled to reach Mary when needed. Despite these challenges, many appreciated the peaceful setting, proximity to attractions, and Mary's accommodating nature.

There was an rv already in the spot that should have been for us and we were expected to camp in the driveway area … not for tent camping! Still waiting on refund…):

I believe this listing is misleading and should be removed. The site is inaccesible due to trees and potted plants. The property is not camper friendly for RVs. Maybe tents but not RVs and the host is unavailable. Host does not answer communications.

There were scheduling issues that couldn't be resolved between HC and the host but she was able to make it work with me outside of HC. Tight parking for big rigs. If you're over 30', it's doable; just tight.

Listing needs fixed, would return
22 ft travel trailer · With pets
Let me start out by saying Mary is very accommodating! Her listing does need to be fixed because though the description says 1 R.V. site and 3 tent sites, there is no option to distinguish which you are booking when you reserve. When we arrived there was already a 5th wheel in the R.V. site. When Mary arrived home we walked around her property and I was able to back our 22’ camper into a spot to reach water and 30amp hook up. I did have to use 4wd due to the soft sand, but she was very open and willing to do whatever she could to accommodate us. On our last night there ANOTHER 5th wheel shows up. Mary accommodated them by allowing them to use her driveway. There are several dogs that roam around throughout the property, so that’s something to be aware of if you bring along pets and they are male so they will pee on any chairs or rugs you leave outside. Mary had a fire ring she allowed us to use at her “new small camper” site lol! It was peaceful facing the wooded area towards the back of the property. We would definitely return to Mary’s, but the listing definitely needs to be fixed. We got to meet a couple of pretty nice people due to the over booking though! Lol

Needs address with street names and pictures of what to look for. “North of peaceful road on Tayco Road on west side of road two houses up, forested property with red door on house and tables and chairs and potted plants in yard.” The map Provided by hip camp me Put me right in the middle of the street and I had nothing to go on, but knocking on doors of houses neighbors knew nothing. Host did not answer my phone calls over the course of an hour, nor messages nor emails. When I knocked on the door, she did not answer although she was home.
