Authentic old Florida homestead. Beautiful Spanish moss veiled Grandfather Oak trees, rolling subtle grassy hills and Cypress filled wetlands with an abundant of bird life every day. We raise Nigerian Dairy goats and always have time for goat visits and petting. Our horses are boarded at night and roam freely during the day along with our donkeys. Hiking our land and marked trails, gives you the feeling of serenity and back to nature, clearing your mind so you can remember what nature is all about. Just minutes away are amazing places and parks like the Withlacoochee State park, Hog Island and the Withlacoochee river, where kayaking is a must. Peace and quiet and privacy as you tent, stay in one of our RV's or bring your own. Be part of our AGRITOURISM VENUE and take part in the RANCH EXPERIENCE, a guided visit to meet and pet our livestock, from baby goats to miniature horses! Get to pet one of our over 80 goats and check out our twin turkeys and many chickens.... Pigs are just begging to be scratched as well!!! ENJOY!

An excellent get-a-way.

This is a large, beautiful ranch that’s a perfect place to kick back and relax or use as a base to see surrounding sites. Friendly horses and donkeys graze freely during the day. Sandhill cranes can usually be seen walking about. Ibis feed in and around the ponds. You can walk up to the large enclosures to greet the goats and hens. An overall great experience. I’ve also rarely seen such well maintained restroom facilities. There is obviously a great deal of care and pride that goes into every aspect of this ranch. A great experience! I’ll be back.

This is a perfect setup for so many reasons. The sites and property are beautiful and large. The bathhouse is next level compared to what I have typically seen at a HipCamp. There are so many fantastic birds that are just... THERE. We had an excellent orientation to the campsites and property so you start feeling welcomed and settled. It was an easy 30-minute drive to see Manatees and less for all the other amenities you may need. As well as a river put in less than 10 minutes away. The truth is, you could come all the way down here just to camp out here. That is because of the Farm Experience Tour. If you want they offer a tour of their farm so you can see what they have going on there. It is amazing and better than any other petting zoo I know of. This may be the best thought out Hipcamp in the southeast if not more. I highly recommend it.

Rob and Mike have a beautiful property and went above and beyond making sure we were comfortable and are very helpful. They really put a lot of work into the details of the facilities, property, and layout. Plus they gave a very educational and interesting tour of their livestock. The sun rising over the fields while horses and donkeys roam free was such a cool experience!

We rented Cypress view campsite with our pop up for 2 nights. Cypress view has water, power, a raised deck and is situated very close to the pavilion, which has bathrooms, showers, charging/coffee station and kitchenette with sink and microwave. The campsites are private with beautiful live oaks and cypress trees separated by grassy meadows. There are even marked hiking trails! Rob and Mike are excellent hosts and take care to make you feel welcome. The farm tour is definitely a must-do! We were there on a Saturday and met them at 11am to see the working part of the ranch. There were baby goats, friendly dogs, turkeys, chickens, geese, mini horses and a house pig! The donkeys and horses graze in the camping area and will come to say hi in the morning. We shared some of our fruit and had some special moments petting and feeding them. I highly recommend Lucky U Ranch. We definitely had a 5 star experience.

Lovely grounds, friendly hosts

We stayed in the Stewardship Forrest on Rob and Mike's ranch. It was a delight to wake on our private, primitive site with a beautiful view of the cypress bog. We hiked the near by conservation areas, and also enjoyed the trails along the bog on the ranch grounds. A really unique part of our peaceful stay was the horses just mosey-ing on through our site! The helpful property guide book was helpful in identifying who's who among the livestock, outlined property rules and amenities (which includes a lovely out door kitchen for food prep & washing up (complete with complementary coffee and hot cocoa) flush toilets and hot showers! The guide also offers guidance on what you may feed the animals. We'll definitely be back!
