Mike & Maggie bought this beautiful property 38 years ago. Their house, The Cracker Shack, is 100 plus years old and is the second generation home of the Gainer family who settled the Econfina area in the 1820's. It's made of heart pine and the fireplace was carved from the limestone in Econfina Creek.Maggie's Musical Farm is located in the beautiful Econfina area of Bay County Florida. Our "Cracker Shack" is the second generation home of the Gainer Family, founders of Bay County, Florida and was built circa 1890. We have a beautiful stage and audience viewing structure called a Hotangle. Econfina Creek recreation area is less than a mile from the Farm where they offer free kayaking, canoeing, swimming, picnicking and hiking in thousands of woodland acres maintained by Northwest Florida Water Management. Reservations for canoe/kayaks can be made at Econfina Creek Canoe Livery . We are surrounded by many wooded acres and very few visible houses. Our "camping" area is dedicated with a campfire circle and privacy fencing. We offer 2 outdoor showers and 2 porta potties, at the moment, with plans for a permanent toilet facility. We also host musical events Sunday afternoons November through March, with some of the best touring Americana Singer/Songwriters in the country today. Camping near a cold plunger!

I loved camping here with my son! There was a natural spring within 5 minutes where we did a cold plunge for the 3 mornings we were there! I cant wait to go back again!

The owners of this site are the most wonderfully cool people. It was clean, the showers were hot, the fire pit was great, and there are so many stars.

As always, Maggie and Mikes never disappoints! Our third time staying here (as tent campers) and it certainly won’t be our last. Great proximity to Panama City beaches without having to deal with the touristy chaos, and even closer to the local cold springs.. if you’re a camper that doesn’t need direct hookups (electricity and water are still available, just not direct hookups to your RV/trailer/tent/etc.) and looking for a great place to stay in the area that’s close to everything, not just beaches, then this is your place! Great hosts, great property, and great location! Also stargazing at night is astounding!! If your looking for something extremely secluded without others campers, this *may* not be your place, but for people who like seclusion camping (ie. us) , we really did not mind the other campers on the property at all, its spread out enough to feel private and they limit the number of other campers, so even with others present it still feels pretty private. Highly recommend!!

Pros: Great location close to springs. Reasonable price. Nice to have access to porttapotty, shower, and fire pit. We liked the lights that identified each tent site. Cons: There was a lot of traffic passing by the property at all hours of the night and sometimes the vehicles would be blasting loud music as they passed by. The Property needs more fire ant control. The property had a few old campers, trailers, carports that looked unsightly and unused. The owners were not very responsive to our messages.
