Greetings Hipcampers! Thank you for considering your camping adventures, look forward to welcoming you! Here’s some information about the general area. If you don’t need it, just skip down to the “About us” section. Our property is located in the Sailfish capital of the country in the heart of Historic Port Salerno/Stuart Florida. World class deep sea fishing, boating, and some of the finest seafood restaurants on the east coast are less a mile away. We’re just 5 miles from downtown Stuart on the Inland waterway that offers a lovely walkable downtown where you will find a theater, unique art studios, interesting and unique craft and clothing shops, and numerous restaurants offering everything from vegan and vegetarian options, to pizza, steak, and local seafood. If you’re looking for fast food franchises in the downtown areas, you’ll need to look elsewhere! Only 11 miles from Jonathan Dickinson State Park. Daily excursions are available from the launch site to the infamousTrapper Nelson’s hideaway. A must do for adventurous types who appreciate legends and creative off grid living. ABOUT US: This Camp Site is on a 1/2 acre, owner occupied property and located in a beautiful, open, quiet neighborhood setting. It offers a natural walking path with several foot bridges around the lake. Our property has very easy accessibility to all major roads including interstate 95. Our camp sites provide you a peaceful stay while still being close to all you seek. This location makes for a great stop over or destination spot. Guests will wake in the morning to the lovely site and peaceful sounds of the mostly year round residents including pileated &red-bellied woodpeckers, black vultures, raccoons, egrets, ibis, hawks, quaker parrots, herons, bluejays, grackles, crows, lizards, mourning doves, gray squirrels, owls, hawks, and occasional sightings of iguanas and turtles. Nights tend to be dark and quiet by the lake with minimal traffic noise. We are pet friendly provided your pet is too! As noted above, this is in a quiet, neighborhood setting, just a bit off the beaten path. I will happily answer any questions or concerns you may have upon arriving and then respect your privacy and solitude. I look forward to welcoming you here!

RV/Camper With Electric and Water

Amazing stay

My bf and I had an amazing time staying at Gia’s. She was so sweet and welcoming. She even let us use her outdoor shower. Her place is beautiful and has a gorgeous view of a large pond in her yard. We were able to do some fishing there and in other nearby lakes. It seems like the whole city is like a fishing town so it was the perfect place for us to stay. I can’t wait to go back!

Welcoming atmosphere

I really enjoyed our stay on Gia’s land. She was so welcoming and had thought of everything. She even built us a fire in the fire pit to enjoy with other campers. You should know that the toilet is rustic, (you’re essentially sitting on a bucket) and if you’re comfortable with that, then great! It was gorgeous waking up with the sunlight streaming through the trees and sparkling on the lake.

Gia made me feel very welcomed and even provided me some gear I forgot to pack. They offered their hospitality freely at the same time providing me as much solitude as I wanted. There is a lovely lake with walking path all around which I appreciated and kayaking close by.

Location, Location, Location

Gia's place is in a delightful neighborhood with greenspace that offers a lake walk and plenty of birds, turtles, etc. It's a lovely spot to enjoy the sunrise and sunse,t yet you're just a half-mile walk to the waterfront of art galleries, restaurants, etc. With easy access to A1A, you're also about midway between Stuart and Hobe Sound, so take your pick and head to the beach, wildlife preserves, walking, biking, fishing, and boating options. Best of all, you get to meet interesting, wonderful people who know how to hosts travelers. This was my first Hipcamp experience and now I'm spoiled!

This review is solely to praise Gia, the host. She kindly took my last minute request to stay when my original campsite was damaged by hurricane related tornadoes. Though I requested four nights, she could only accommodate the first two as she was going out of town. But after I arrived and following almost an hour of warm conversation with her and her partner, she very graciously allowed me to stay two more nights in her absence. Such trust, generosity, and kindness is not commonplaces (except, perhaps on this site…). She totally saved me from a challenging uproot and made space for me to truly relax and reset. The best. Oh, and the outdoor shower…!

Great host! Lovely little spot with water view, tucked in a little neighborhood, minutes away from all the civilization one might need. Outdoor shower a major bonus - great for washing away the ocean after a day at the beach. Gia is fantastic - grest, prompt communication. Recommended!
