VP87 is a 1/10 acre pull through site with ~70 feet of concrete and room to park two vehicles. Pet friendly for dogs and cats (total of 2 pets only please). Water, sewer, and 30/50amp power on site. An 8X12 shed complete with full size modern WASHER and DRYER, residential refrigerator, a utility sink and even a real porcelain toilet! Just down the street from Ocala and Silver Springs, Wilderness is a lovely community of RV lot owners and long-term tenants (55 years and older community, {this does not apply to renters less than 30 days}), with a bath house, gym and sauna/steam room, game room, swimming pool and hot tub, big dog park, and a hiking trail... all nestled right on the shore of the beautiful and famous Ocklawaha River. Oh, and there is even a little candy shop and restaurant on premises that serves breakfast and lunch. Quick and easy shopping for typical requirements just down the road in Ocala or Silver Springs. Silver Springs State Park is less than 5 miles and offers glass bottom boat tours of the famous springs. If you have your own kayak/canoe you can paddle from there to Ray Wayside Park and return to your car at the state park with the shuttle service. Or you can pass Ray Wayside and paddle another .5 mile directly to Wilderness RV Resort (you'll just need a way back to retrieve your car) ... approximately 6 miles of beautiful clear water and Florida jungle with manatee, gators, birds, otters, and even monkeys! The entire trip is with the current! Like bicycling? The Cross Florida Greenway (Santos Trail System) is about 15 miles from Wilderness and offers 32 miles of paved path for road cyclist and over 50 miles of world class mountain bike trails for anyone from beginner to expert. E-Bikes are welcome. Ocala is the Horse Capital of the World! Florida Horse Park is in the Greenway about 20 miles and the World Equestrian Center is in Ocala, 15 miles. There are places to ride and farms with Clydesdales that you can visit as well.A 70-foot cement pull through campsite with parking for 2 vehicles. 8X12 shed included with WASHER and DRYER, full size refrigerator, TOILET and sink (there is no hot water in shed). Water, sewage, and 30/50-amp power on site.

The site is in a nice, quiet RV park with wonderful amenities. Our dog enjoyed visiting both dog parks and walking the wilderness trails. The close proximity to Silver Springs state park make this a great landing spot after a day in the glass bottom boats or exploring downtown Ocala. The shed on the site with a toilet, laundry and a refrigerator helped limit shopping trips without needing to worry about what our little RV Fridge could handle. It was a fantastic experience and I’d recommend this site.

Great pull through spot, with a shed that had a refrigerator, washer & dryer, toilet and deep sink! Everyone at the RV park was friendly and it had lots of activities like bingo, food trucks, karaoke and more! Some hiking trails right off the RV park for kayaking, fishing and hiking! My family loved it!

We couldn’t have asked for a nicer camp site. Steve thought of everything when adding the shed. The restroom, washer, dryer, utility sink and full size refrigerator were the best amenities. We enjoyed the peaceful setting and the nicest neighbors. There are always fun activities planned. (bingo, karaoke, food truck events). Nice to walk the campground but there are also trails to walk along the river. Beautiful pool and hot tub and the restaurant on site was delicious. Stop at the candy store for a delicious Whoopi pie and some good ole fashion candy. We recommend Terrys Restaurant in Silver Springs and the Braized Onion in Ocala. We definitely recommend kayaking at Silver Springs and the Rainbow River in Dunnellon. We had the best time and Steve and Jane were so helpful and accommodating. The best hosts. Thank you so much for making your place available. Truly one of our best trips!

We booked this site in May after several conversations with Steve who explained everything we had inquired about. We stayed for 3 weeks in January and absolutely loved everything about the site and the RV resort. Steve’s site and the RV resort is absolutely first class. We enjoyed the hikes in the area and the nightly walks around the resort. The community is super friendly. Having the shed with the washer/dryer, toilet and fridge made the stay all that much more enjoyable. The traffic in the area is minimal and everything you may need is 15 minutes away. We would stay here again without hesitation!

Easy Nature Post with Facilities

Nice pull through spot with water, power, and laundry, sink, toilet, and fridge/freezer in onsite shed. Host was proactive and communicative. Area has nice access to community gym with sauna/steam room, bath house, pool and hot tub. Silver Springs was easy drive, may 5-10 mins away, with Ocala shopping not too far beyond that. Neighborhood was peaceful and quiet with friendly neighbors but not overly so. Will definitely stay again when in the area.
