This exquisite and secluded property is located at the base of the Koʻolau mountains in Waimānalo. Surrounded by breath-taking views that will captivate and invigorate your spirit, this private property offers an experience that is one of a kind. With over 10 acres to explore, this regenerative farm is home to many fruit trees, indigenous plants, wild chickens, and other beautiful birds that you will likely spot while taking a stroll on our nature path. We have worked really hard to care for this ʻāina (land), and we are happy to share it with respectful travelers looking for a quiet, authentic, farm-stay experience. Camp Koʻolau provides bathrooms, a warm-water outdoor shower with an amazing view, and parking. Our farm is only a 5-minute drive to the beach, and 15 minutes from popular, Kailua town. As a working farm, we do have insects and geckos hanging around. So, it's not uncommon to encounter them. Also, we often have visits from wild pigs that come down from the mountain, so you may see them as well. Although we are certain you will love this place, please keep in mind, it takes a lot of hard work to maintain it. Thus, you will probably hear farm equipment and activities buzzing about (typically on the weekends). And, we want you to respect, love, and care for this place as much as we do by leaving it better than you found it. For an added fee, we also offer: An exclusive adventure on our Hawaiian sailing canoe to Nā Mokulua (Twin Islands) or around Mānana (Rabbit Island). Farmstay Unit 2

Exceptional

Scooter and her family are absolutely amazing. From their welcoming hospitality and awe inspiring ideals, to the beautiful property that they choose to share with anyone lucky enough to stumble across this hidden gem. We briefly considered staying where all the tourist were and a few nice resorts, but I am so happy that we decided to spend our time here. The serenity and views, by themselves, are more than worth anything you would give up if you stayed at a resort. And the bed was so incredibly comfy! That's saying something, because we are quite the bed snobs, haha. I would recommend this stay to any of my friends and family. I honestly can't wait to return. Thank you for making our vacation so special. This experience has caused my concept of relaxation and serenity to grow exponentially, and will indeed take something absolutely incredible to be able to compete moving forward.

Farmstay Unit 2

We had an absolutely wonderful time at Unit 2. Right away we were warmly welcomed by Malia and given a tour of the beautiful land. The host/host family was always available to questions and would bring us fresh fruit from the property. If you get the chance to stay here, I recommend learning as much as you can about Hawaiian culture, history, and the beautiful land and sea. We were able to get connected to a community volunteer opportunity through Kapi’olei (Scooter) and this was another highlight and way the host went above and beyond to help us. As others have mentioned, the mountain view in the background is unbeatable and the unit and restroom facilities were neat and clean. We had everything we needed and there were beaches, shops, and hikes a short drive away. We cannot say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay here and we hope to be back one day.

Car Camping Site

Super friendly hosts and amazing campsite. Such a good spot to explore that side of the island. The outdoor shower had hot water and was such a nice touch. Waking up to the beautiful mountain range is something I’ll never forget. 100% would recommend this stay

Amazing nature and clean chill spot

This place is stunning! You will stay so close to nature. So quiet and clean spot. Schooter and her mom are amazing hosts. They are very friendly people. I wish to come back again.
