Rasta Bus
Great spot for camping near North Shore. Very close to Hauula Beach Park and other great beaches. Lots of places to eat takeout/food truck and also markets for shopping. I liked the Rasta Van spot for it's privacy and also private outdoor shower. The shared bathroom and shower facilities are mostly outdoor but are clean and worked great. The bathroom is a short walk to get to from the campsites so plan ahead if you need to use the bathroom often. The Hideaway site is the closest to the bathroom/shower area.
This is camping in Oahu. It is not a hotel or motel or flat rental. You will be outdoors and you will likely encounter some bugs and lizards. You will be awakened by the sunrise and you will hear the waves crashing on the beach at night. Solid spot to camp for a few nights if you are looking for an affordable spot to stay.

Rasta Bus
This space was very quaint and felt so secluded. We just pulled in and felt like we had our own place in the wilderness.

The Rootz Wagon
Private Getaway in the valley
We had so much fun. The roots wagon was very secluded and private. We had a blast and even brought our dogs! Our host Mason was so kind and more than accommodating and even brought us some bananas fresh from the property. Bring bug spray, a fan, and a cooler and you’ll be fine. We can’t wait to be back. This will be a regular weekend spot to unplug and reset for my family. Many mahalos for having us 🤙🏼

Mountain View
Camping here was hands down the best decision as far as choosing a place to sleep in Oahu. The property is nestled at the bottom of the mountains, and is very peaceful. I loved sleeping to the sound of the breeze and waking up to the sounds of the birds. The bathrooms were a little bit of a walk, but I enjoyed getting in some steps in the morning and enjoying the nice scenery along the way. I would highly recommend camping here.

The Hideaway
We loved pulling in and staying in our rv- two separate nights! If was such a lovely place to be the first nights that we chose to stay a second as well. Secluded and safe. Met our need for being in nature.

The Hideaway
Campsite description needs updating
The provided google doc directions were good and the views from the campsite are absolutely spectacular. Advertised on 9/12/24 as, "The Hideaway is our most secluded site, offering exceptional privacy, the closest proximity to bathrooms, and added amenities like a picnic table with a view." we did not find the seclusion; during our stay there were a number of people, often groups, walking by the campsite within direct eye/earshot. Being described as the most secluded campsite does not make it true, and we differ in our definitions of privacy and closest. It does have the closest proximity to bathrooms we were not allowed to use. When you camp at The Hideaway, as you walk to the toilets you are able to use, you will see a pair of padlocked toilets that are made unavailable to you. That doesn't feel good. The implication being that if I didn't wish to walk twice as far to utilize a latrine I should have chosen and comprehended more wisely. Although the views at the further bathrooms were monumental, they didn't make up for the times I uncomfortably walked by toilets able to provide for the immediacy of my visit, instead scuttling by them urgently and uncomfortably. Despite guests being required to keep pets on leash, there were unleased dogs (accompanied by a human) on the property.
We still loved the view, the four showers, and proximity to some of our interests, however it wasn't as secluded, private, or closest to functional bathrooms as was advertised.
