Best for self-contained campers. There are no toilets, showers, or potable water at this Hipcamp.
This is a small group of campsites near the Cataldo Mission. Private and gated. Right on the Coeur D’ Alene River with sand beach access. A quick 30 minute drive from downtown CDA, 15 minutes to the Silver Mountain Resort, 25 minutes to the beautiful Wallace mining town, and the Hiawatha biking trail. Visit the historic Cataldo Mission, launch your boat from the same Freeway exit, or hop on the Rails of Trails just minutes away from camp! These campsites are centrally located to everything the Northwest has to offer! Great for a weekend get away or summer long campsite!Site 1 is a beautiful camp spot closest to the river. Nestled in trees. Site provides room for a travel trailer, tent, and/or two cars. A flat grassy space. Perfect for swimming and fishing. Guests will enjoy a private space to themselves, but please note there are several long term camp rentals and there may be other renters in the area. They are not visible from the campsite but may be heard. Guests will have access to shared sandy beach just a 2 minute walk away. These campsites are unimproved. There is a fire pit, but no water, power, hookups, or picnic tables. If you are interested in camping at our site but don’t see an available date, please message me. We have several other sites that are periodically available and we are happy to make accommodations!

S. Cataldo Mission Site 1
I liked that the site was surrounded by plenty of trees and brush to give it a private feel. Directions were right on point and easy to follow. Will definitely make it back out soon.

Privacy, fishing and wildlife!
We had a wonderful time! There were other camp sites around us but far enough away we could barely hear or even see them! Huge trees provided plenty of shade and the beach/river was just a minute walk. We even saw a moose as we were packing up.

S. Cataldo Mission Site 2
What a great find! This is how camping ‘used to be’ when I was young and growing up. We loved the off the beaten path and pure natural setting of this property. We were the only campers there so enjoying the solitude of this riverfront area was priceless. My only recommendation is to have some signage on the available sites so a First Timer knows they are in the right spot. I don’t even want to leave a review because then the secret will be out! This is a beautiful camping area. Thank you for the great communication
