Big Muddy Brewing is a production craft brewery and taproom offering over 25 beers on tap. Our taproom has beer tastings, pints and growlers as well as wine and craft spirits. We also have plenty of packaged beer to go. Our kitchen has Bavarian pretzels, Flatbread pizzas and more. Located in the heart of Southern Illinois, minutes from the Shawnee National Forest, Kinkaid Lake, Murphysboro State Park & Southern Illinois University. level lot and close to town! If you come try to aim for days the brewery is open as it looked very fun but was closed when we visited! Pretty Muddy back-in if you are planning to camp within a day or two of rain, but n o problems accessing!

This was a convenient place to stay with electrical hookup. The host is very welcoming and being behind the brewery was certainly a bonus!

Owners were super nice and friendly. Had fire wood waiting for me and it was great to just walk up to the bar and order dinner. When we arrived it was a bit dead due to a festival but we’ll definitely be keeping an eye out for their events and will be back.

Big Muddy Backyard

Our stay started when were greeted by an amazingly friendly staff member. It had been a long day of traveling so our pup was ready to get out and stretch his legs, and they are super dog-friendly. The space was clean and quiet. I would recommend staying here to anyone and I would personally stay here again.
