Fifteen acre livestock farm in NW IL with a creek and pond. We raise sheep, goats, chickens, guineas, peafowl, fancy pheasants, Tom's pet trout, and two ridiculous dogs. If you like nature, and animals, up close, this is the spot.
You can respectfully interact with the livestock, or not, as you choose. We're pretty hands off, but are happy to talk about the animals if you ask.

Goatland is a delightful camping spot that charms visitors with its friendly animal residents and welcoming hosts. Campers consistently enjoy the unique opportunity to interact with goats, sheep, and other animals, offering a memorable experience for families and individuals alike. The facilities, including a clean bathroom and shower, enhance the comfort of the stay, making it a favorite escape from city life. While the farm setting requires a bit of walking and respect for the animals, the peaceful environment and engaging animal encounters make it an appealing choice for campers seeking a blend of rustic charm and modern amenities.
LOVED this experience. Super great way to camp but still have the amenities of a shower and a fridge. The host is lovely and her many animals are just as wonderful, cannot recommend enough and will certainly be back.
My 10-year-old and I had a very lovely mother-daughter trip. The hosts were very accommodating, showed us around the farm and we got to pet some goats when they came in at the end of the day! We loved our camp spot by the tree, and really appreciated having access to a bathroom with a shower. We will definitely be back!
This place was great! The host gave us a tour to show us around and made us feel right at home, the animals were adorable and the campsite was very peaceful! 10/10 would recommend
I took my two girls here (4 & 7) and we had the absolute best time. Jeanne and her husband were wonderful hosts and the property was perfect for a family. Already booked our next stay.
Loved getting to be hands on with the animals! Agnes, Larry and Gracie were some of our favorites!
