Loved our stay in the heated tent, which was tucked away in the trees on a ridge where we could easily enjoy the sunset. We enjoyed the trails, observing the farm and the fresh eggs. Everything needed was provided for an easy stay.

Fun, Cozy, and Peaceful Escape
We went here for Spring Break and had a great time. Sam was a wonderful host and provided interesting information on the farm tour. The scenery is beautiful and our yurt was very cozy. It’s a quick 35 min trip to Starved Rock, but the farm itself offers a wonderful, peaceful experience. My “city boy” nine year old son loved it and said, “I could get use to this.” I highly recommend it and look forward to visiting in different seasons.

Invigorating and wonderful camping!
My 9 year old and I wanted to go camping after Christmas to get away. We stayed in the Queen bed tent in the woods. It was magical. I lived the short walk to the tent for privacy. We heard owls and coyotes at night. The host made sure heaters were on to get the tent to 55-60 degrees which was so comfortable. Very clean full restroom and shower in the learning center. Dumpsters nearby. Everything you could ask for. We hope to return again ❤️

Peaceful farm getaway
My daughter and I stayed the days after Christmas. Temps ranged from 30’s-50’s. The tent was around 60 degrees on average and felt GREAT! Very roomy, chairs and tables for belongings and electricity fur plugging in essentials. 4 chairs and a picnic table are there for use. We heard coyotes, owls and birds. There was a bathroom with running water super close 24/7. Bring outdoor cooking gear especially in off season. A super friendly came to visit too! Hiking at Starved Rock is around 35 min away, Loved the peace!!!

Life changing Land
Sam was such a wonderful, polite, caring/loving individual. We learned so much wonderful information. The farm was amazing- I can’t put it into words. We love Sam as well as his family and his land. We will be coming back 100% (as long as Sam lets us), and spreading the word to friends and family. Sam encouraged us to explore the farm un-guided. Which i personally thought that was very special. One weekend at Sam’s farm was a life changing experience that we will never forget! Additionally the prices were more than fair, the tents, washroom/shower area, and learning center were very clean, organic, and peaceful. We love you Sam, and plan to make a donation to The farm as soon as our finances permit. Thank you for such a wonderful experience!
