Cicadas 2024 are GONE It's so quiet! Except for the birds and other soft singing insects. LOTS of tree frogs are chirping. Grundy County Fair July 3 - 7 in Morris, IL. Very rustic and private. we are in the best part of the Illinois wilderness. Our woods transport you a world away, yet you are just a short walk from your vehicle and a short drive to stores, sites and restaurants. Our campsites are treated with a light essential oil to help repel bugs, like mosquitoes and ticks. Our pond is treated weekly for mosquitoes. We work hard so that you are comfortable. Your campsite is clean and stocked for you with a picnic table, five pieces of firewood, a lighter, fire starters, a couple of chairs and peace and quiet. A clean port a potty is available at the trail head and next to the stables. There is a stocked handwashing station next to the port a potties. No bears, no wolves, no mountain lions. Plenty of owls, birds, frogs, and small critters plus the shy deer are all about. Our "camp host" Tiller the big lovable doggo will patrol to scatter any trash pandas that might happen by. We keep track of him using GPS, so we know if He is hanging with you around the campfire. When his collar lights up and plays a tune, it's time for him to come home! Forest Get A Way

Overall we had a good little getaway but it wasn’t as private as we expected as we could see other camp sites and it was right on the main trail. We got turned around so many times because there were no signs leading us back out to the parking area or to just use the porta-potty so I would recommend putting signs up for sure. Still thank you for a new experience it’s definitely better than a a usual campsite that’s wide open.

Under The Acorn Trees

One of the best Hipcamps we have done. Campsite was well maintained, provided wood was amazing, and our dog loved it. Close to a few state parks, we plan on coming back

Pondside Paradise

Very well stocked, everything you need. Surprisingly remote feeling for how close it is to town. Heidi and her husband were great hosts.

Meadows Edge

This was a great place with a great vibe to camp with the kids. Heidi was incredibly friendly and helpful, and the kids loved playing with her animals. From the time we arrived until left, she continuously went above and beyond. The site itself was wooded and private, with plenty of space. I would definitely recommend camping here.

# 6 Across The Pond

Heidi was an amazing hostess. She greeted us upon arrival, and helped get all of our belongings to the campsite. As we arrived to our area all of the amenities we paid for were there. My family and I had such a good time on our 3 day stay. I highly recommend camping here.

Great site. Creek available to hike alongside, a bit brushy but fun regardless. There’s a dog named tiller that’ll come around
