Base Camp is a 21 acre modern glampground + RV Park, trailhead, and bike park. We have beautiful cabins, mini A-frames and full service pull-through RV hookups. Located in Humboldt, KS at the trailhead to the South Wind bike trail. Base Camp features a quarry pond for fishing and small watercrafts, large open fields for recreation and a bike skills course perfect for beginners and seasoned riders alike. Our RV spots are located in our large parking lot. Each rental includes water, 30 and 50 amp electric and sewer hookups. Humboldt, KS was listed in the 2022 NYT 52 Places for a Changed World because of the work of A Bolder Humboldt. ABH developed BaseCamp and is feverishly working to breathe life into our downtown square. You will find a coffee shop, candy store, a Bruncherie, and nightlife. We are grateful for your support of our efforts through your visit to Humboldt.

BaseCamp RV No. 1

Very cool place and setting, we enjoyed walking around the property. We did notice it needed a bit of mowing and weedeating around the cabins, etc.

Unexpectedly a very cool place!

Excellent facilities including level, new concrete RV sites with new full hook ups, a cool bike barn communal space, super nice bathroom/showers, a bike skills park and right on a rails to trails trailhead that can take you many miles to other towns and a park with mountain bike trails. Humboldt itself is a very cute downtown with a nice coffee shop, lunch spot and shops. We were able to catch up on laundry in the nearby town of Iola, 10 minutes away. Jon is very friendly and accommodating, a pleasure to speak with about all things Humboldt. Will definitely recommend to others and will return again.

Shhhhhh! Don’t let the secret out!

Base camp is very welcoming and has something for everyone! Quaint and isolated cabins for visitors, as well as clean and convenient access to full hook up RV sites. We stayed a few nights with our RV and commented how well done things are at Base Camp. Lots to do to keep yourself occupied, we will for SURE be back!

Very nice place. Very relaxing. Plenty to do if you want to. Very clean and well kept. Very good communication. We will be back with our grandchildren.

very clean and well kept. RV site was very nice - hookups were very accessible and in good condition. the amenities were very cool. nice quite walking paths - very cool bike trails and there are some nice places to eat in town. we will be back.

BaseCamp RV No. 2

This was a gem of a place. 21 beautifully maintained acres including trees, open space and a pond with water craft for your use. The bath house and bike barn were amazing. Loved the hammocks!! Jon was an excellent host. We will be telling all our friends about Base Camp and the town of Humboldt.
