Rose Cottage
This place was.. interesting. We booked here just to spend the night on our move from the PNW to Missouri. We weren't looking for anything fancy and mostly just wanted somewhere our three dogs would be comfortable, and the Rose Cottage seemed to fit the bill. We arrived pretty late (after 9pm) to find the front gate well labeled, but closed and locked for the night. After calling the number on the listing, the host apologized, was very kind, and had her on site groundskeeper let us in. He did lock the gate again after we entered.
The cabin itself had a window AC unit running when we entered, but it also had a strong smell of mildew. The couch was much less clean in person than in the photos, and two of the mattresses on the bunk beds were missing. Our biggest issue was the back door of the cabin had shifted and didn't fit into its latch, so we couldn't lock the back door or even close it properly.
The bathrooms are a short walk away but they are also down a hill and across a bridge. The men's restroom was vile. The women's restroom was decent, the toilet area was clean and the showers were a little cobwebby but usable. The wood ceiling in the bathroom is coming apart somewhat from rot and has just been painted over.
The entire property was eerie. There are many cabins across the grounds. Overall it looks like it was a lovely camp setting like 50 years ago, but it needs some serious love now, or condemnation.
A positive- our dogs absolutely loved all the cabin's smells!

Rose Cottage
The cabin was very spacious, it had a small fridge and electricity. The host turned on the ac ahead of time so the whole cabin was nice and cold. The campfire area was nice and had chairs which was good because we didn’t bring enough camping chairs. The campsite was pretty and it was nice to walk around. There were two cats that appeared to live at the campsite and they were very friendly. The only complaint was the bathrooms were not very clean and had lots of bugs, spiderwebs, etc.
Heritage Cabin

Nice Cabin, Nice Campsite
It was a really nice area, and the cabins were nice. There was a king size bed, a tv, a fridge, a microwave, lights, a reclining couch and 4 bunk beds. There were some problems trying to check in since we got there a bit late and the office closed at 4 pm but we got into a cabin after 20 minutes of calling the office phone number. The bathrooms were a bit mediocre but they made do and had toilets and running water. Overall, I’d rate it a 7/10. Definitely would recommend, just get there earlier to check in.

Great location, not the cleanest or best maintained but fine for what we were looking for as we are used to camping. Comfy bed and they were awesome and let us use a pack and play for the baby.
