Hipcamp Best Camping Runner Up 2023 and 2024! Spring is here and Summer isn't far behind. Book now and enjoy the privacy and the convience of Away at Green Hill. Entry point to western Boone County in Northern Kentucky, neighbor to Cincinnati, Indiana and the Ohio River, this 27 acre property marks a geographical change from rolling farmland to steep, forested hillsides. Our end-of-the road, ridgetop property means privacy. Our isolated campsites are surrounded by woods full of turkey, deer, owls, and woodpeckers. Onsite there are wide, easy strolling paths, a growing number of single-track hiking trails, open fields, and forest. And if not booked, a historic log home to explore and do some porch sitting. A great place for solo campers, friends, and families, whether newbies or experienced. Drive-in sites make unloading/loading easy peasey. Standard amenties include privacy, an exceptional outhouse, tables, fire rings, lanterns, Welcome kit (paper, fatwood, lighter, candle). Firewood can be purchased when booking and onsite. At one time, there were three sites for camping. We decided that was too much and we wanted to ensure privacy. We now limit it only two: Site 1 - Open Sky can accommodate the solo or the group. And it comes with extra amenities: a hammock, trampoline, badminton (spring, summer, fall). It's also closest to the cabin, strolling trails, woodshack, and outhouse. Site 2 - Gobbler's Knob is a more cozy space - a small rise surrounded by forest. Still, it can accommodate pop-ups + tents and a couple of vehicles. The choice is yours. Boating, kayaking, biking, hiking, museums or lazing about in a tiny riverfront town are minutes away, The curvy, scenic roads lead quickly out of the paved civilization of Union, Kentucky to us and onto the Rabbit Hash General Store, the Ohio River, the ferry to Indiana, the historic Dinsmore Homestead and State Nature Preserve, Middle Creek Park, and Big Bone State Park "Home to Modern Vertebrate Paleontology". Do nothing or do something.

Can't recommend enogh!
Fantastic site! It feels very secluded and coupled with a well kept property, and LITERALLY the best outhouse experience I've ever had, this place is a must-go if you're traveling through the area and need a place to rejuvenate.

Great!
Such a great place, wide open, quiet, and serene. Picked up a last minute cancellation, and it was exactly what I was looking for. I will definitely be back very soon. Also, excellent communication with the host. No hassles at all.

Private camping oasis!
Such a lovely little private spot. Plenty of space for two couples. Great for stargazing. Enjoyed the trials, campfire, and just being in nature.

2 Gobbler’s Knob
A fantastic family camping spot!
Teri’s farm is an absolutely wonderful place to escape to the woods. The site we stayed at (Gobbler’s Knob) had plenty of room for two families including a camper and a large tent along with some additional screened in shelters to get some shade. Communication was great and we had everything we needed to find our site and get the lay of the land before we arrived. The entire property is extremely well kept and beautiful. The kids enjoyed jumping on the trampoline while dad enjoyed watching them from the hammock. The trails that we wandered on are very well kept and we had a lovely afternoon visit playing games and rocking in the chairs at the cabin while watching for birds. If you are looking for a peaceful and serene location to escape into the woods, it doesn’t get better than Away at Green Hill!
