My grandparents, Donald Clayton Russell & Jewel Geneva (Davis) Russell, purchased this little piece of heaven to get away from the hustle and bustle of Cincinnati life. Judy was born in a little cabin just down the road. Judy & Don along with many family members have made cherished memories here over the years. We want to share its beauty with you and your family. Guests love staying here "We stayed in Birdsong cabin for the Halloween campout weekend. The cabin was ready for us upon arrival and very clean. We enjoyed the privacy of our covered porch and fire ring. The bird feeders hanging all around the cabin are wonderful to watch all the birds during the day. The community fire ring is close enough to enjoy with other campers, but not to close that we could hear anyone in our cabin. Amber and Michael checked on our needs many times during our stay. They hosted a chili cook-off that we greatly enjoyed and passed out candy to all the kids. Overall a great time and experience. We will stay here again."

Don’s Watch
Peaceful & gorgeous
We stayed at Don’s Watch which offered plenty of space, fire pit, a grill, and picnic table. This site was back behind the sites that had direct access to the river but the river was easily accessible from a close trail. Portapotty was close by & clean. Wash house is a steep hike up the hill but also very clean. Looks like they are adding electric hookup to these sites soon. There is NO phone signal at the sites, so remember the camp Wi-Fi password BEFORE you arrive or you will not be able to access the app when there. Host was welcoming and helpful with daily checks around the sites. The river was very shallow (July) at less than waist deep all the way across. We were able to fish, kayak, and tube but bring water shoes because it was very rocky and we pulled several hooks out of the water. Bugs were surprisingly very few. We did find a copperhead snake and tussock moth caterpillars, but we are long-time campers and expect these at times. All of the tent sites had natural tree coverage to help w/ shade and were dispersed enough to offer some privacy. Would be nice if there was more to do here like cornhole, volleyball net, horseshoes, etc. There were only two short trails on the property, so would need to drive for actual hiking. Would be nice to have a water spigot by the tent sites as it’s hard to hike the steep hill with a full jug. Would be helpful if they labeled the sites to help guide newbies. Overall, a gorgeous place and fun experience for a short getaway.

Banks End
Excellent experience. Clean, classy washhouse, detailed and friend welcome/orientation and an attentive host. Match that with a beautiful campsite by the river, wooded and private, I couldn't ask for better. Very pleased!
