Steve is a Star Host
Star Hosts are highly rated, responsive, and committed to providing incredible experiences.
Hones Pointe was established in 1988. It was built by four insurance agents to elude our sales managers in a unique natural setting. Over the years, we have planted many different varieties of trees and perennials to observe. Also evidence exists of this area being an Indian camp long ago as suggested by arrowheads and an old handmade rock wall.  Primitive camping where you can pick your own scenic spot. We will furnish picnic table, fire ring, garbage can, and charcoal grill during your campout. Welcome!

RV Sites or Tents w/ power @ water
My grandson as bd I spend 2 nites at Hines Pointe campground this past weekend. We had ad a great time. We stayed at an RV site. The campground is very well maintained. The owner and his foster son are lovely people, who stopped by to chat occasionally. The dispersed camp sites are really nice, separated sufficiently to allow privacy. The playground looks brand new, there is also a volleyball area, pavilion, and frisbee golf. The portapotty was clean. The water was low in the little ky river but we still went creek stomping and checked out the fossil beds. I would give this place 4.5 stars only because I REALLY missed the ability to shower at the end of a very hot day.

Father’s Day getaway
We had a great time. We only stayed one night but will definitely be back again. We stayed in the Oakie Dokie site. It was very close to the petting zoo area which my 3 year old son adored. We had a private trail that led down to the Little Kentucky River and a very nice shallow place to play in the water. We also explored the area near the pavilion that had plenty of areas to hang out and enjoy the scenery. My son absolutely loved the park and the Hillbilly Hot Tub. You can tell Steve takes pride in keeping the entire grounds beautiful. He was attentive, present and extremely nice!

Lovely primitive camping
We enjoyed our stay on Steve’s property very much and will be back! We called steve when we arrived and he helped us pick out a nice site and delivered our large bundle of wood. It was peaceful and the land was well maintained. Lots of animals nearby so you’ll hear all the sounds all night long which were quite entertaining. There is only one porta potty near the entrance so be prepared for that! All and all an excellent spot for boondocking, we highly recommend checking out Steve’s Hipcamp!! Thanks Steve!

Amazing location and host !
My coworker who has been here quite a few times recommended this location and we were absolutely blown away by Steve. We accidentally forgot our tent and Steve offered to lend us one at a discount rate as well as giving us a 30 count fireball bag to cheer us up. Unfortunately the tent was too small for our mattress so we ended up purchasing one however Steve refunded the money without us ever having to even ask. He was beyond helpful and friendly. Not to mention how beautiful the campsite was. It's truly a little piece of heaven on earth. We will definitely be back soon!
