There is a lot of history in this land. It's been in my family for over a hundred years. They worked the land with their hands and so have I. It's a special place. Come see for your yourself and be our guest at The Harrican! Learn more about this land: Unplug and unwind at this two story cabin built right on the water in the heart of the Kentucky Wildlands! Even though there is complete peaceful seclusion it does get a little noisy when the bullfrogs start their evening ritual. There is a dock and pier perfect for fishing or swimming. Firepit, grill with gas provided, two boats, fishing poles, lots of seating on the wrap around porch, two bedrooms; one with a queen bed and the other with two twin beds and just lots of natural beauty and peace! The BIG update everyone has been waiting for; the plumbing and electricity are now complete! We have all the ammenities to make your stay comfoetable and relaxing! The cabin on the lake was just beautiful. Bridgett was very easy to communicate with. I hope to visit again! 10/10 recommend!

The Harrican Lakehouse

The lake house was a wonderful place for our family to connect and enjoy nature. My grand dogs enjoyed fine-tuning their doggy paddle, and we all enjoyed fishing and relaxing in tubes and kayaks. We were thankful for perfect weather as the inside is much smaller than we expected. It would not have been conducive for four adults and two dogs had it been a rainy weekend. The wraparound porch was a wonderful spot for us to hang out when we weren’t in the water. Please be reminded that site is listed on a camping app not an Airbnb app. Likewise, I suggest you bring items you would typically bring if you were camping (Paper towels, toilet, paper, etc.). The kitchen was Moderately appointed, and we were a little disappointed that the gas grill was not working well. It definitely needs some TLC. Fortunately, we were able to cook over the open fire. Also note that the open staircase is quite steep and not something our furry friends were able to navigate. The toilet and shower inside the master bedroom was a little odd, but not too bad if you were with other people you feel comfortable with All in all we enjoyed our stay very much and would go back. Bridget was very responsive, and the property is breathtaking. Our stay was just what we had hoped for – a secluded area for the dogs to run and play which brought a lot of joy to my son (dog owner) to celebrate his birthday.

We came for my 70th Birthday Bridgett’s place is unbelievable it was the best Birthday so peaceful and private you could sit on the porch for hours just looking at the water. Anything you needed Bridgett was on it. We plan on coming back every year. I didn’t want to leave.
