Learn more about this land: Pitch or park at our serene swampland oasis and wake up to the abundant wildlife across our 24 acre wild property with five ponds and an island of friendly goats. Frequently see aquatic birds, eat from fruit trees, hike with goats, and enjoy a landscape balanced with both manicured design and uninhibited nature. Booking includes a complimentary handmade goat milk soap, free use of our paddleboat and kayak, and unlimited kisses from our affectionate pack of rescue dogs and herd of elderly rescued horses. Gravel driveway leads the way to a flat waterfront solid grass parking spot with 30amp RV hookups and fire circle. Guests have private entry access to a recently renovated bathroom with shower and tub. Snow White Sanctuary is a gated private property at the end of a dead end road. Parks and river access within walking distance, 30 minutes from Lake Charles, 2 hours from Houston, and less than one hour from beaches along the Gulf of Mexico. Some of our favorite local attractions include: Shangri-La Botanical Gardens, SPAR Waterpark, Delta Downs Racetrack, and Insane Sausages Cajun Food. We are a safe, inclusive, and welcoming campground.

Such a welcoming community at this campsite! You'll meet wonderful people, including the super kind hosts. Waking up on the gorgeous property surrounded by so many animal friends was a one of a kind experience.

Tent Camp 7 @ Snow White Sanctuary

Beautiful and fun!

We tent camped and loved it. We really miss our goats on vacation so it felt like home with all the goats there and other animals. Everyone was very friendly we got to bottle feed a baby goat and enjoy the beautiful pond and swim in there too! The kids loved this camp ground and so did me and my husband!

RV @ Snow White Sanctuary

Good for a quick stop

It was hard to be outside as the mosquitoes were attacking, I also love that this place is a rescue farm and they seem to take great care of their animals but there was animal poop everywhere to the point it made it hard to walk around. My biggest issue is that it wasn’t clear in the reservation that we didn’t pay for hook ups already. Then on the hook ups it said to Venmo an additional $30 where as hipcamp had the $10 offering for hook ups I later noticed. I paid the $10 as this was not worth $60. And we were there no more than 12 hours. Lastly the dogs ran out the gate as we were leaving and we spent 15 min trying to get them back in, (we couldn’t call the host as we had no service, my husband also one wheeled over to the house but they didn’t seem to be awake) we eventually left and do apologize for those circumstances. Not the best experience but may be something for someone else! Potentially if you love animals!

Perfect camping trip

The site was beautiful the animals were amazing! Bathroom was a little far from our campsite so if you have a problem using the bathroom in the woods at 3am may get the closest spot out.

Tent Camp 2 @ Snow White Sanctuary

A Special Experience

Alyssa and Ocean were the best hosts! The Sanctuary is such a special place. The setting is beautiful and all the animals are so sweet. There were horses, goats, pigs, dogs, a cat, a baby duck and a friendly squirrel, along with many other birds. My 9 year old had so much fun with the squirrel climbing on him and the baby duck following us around, and wants to go back soon. We had a nice, serene setting for our tent and the bathroom was nice and clean. We hope to go back when it’s a little cooler at night.
