You can enjoy free use of the kayak, paddles, life preservers and portable dock, Enjoy foraging for the many wild blueberries, raspberries, blackberries and huge variety of mushrooms and other edible plants. The Woods are an amazing place to de-stress, boost mental health and improve overall well-being naturally. The cabin has a screened in porch for comfortable nature viewing. Watch the long-term bald eagle residents dive for fish in the pond or the loons paddling around with their entire family. Tilden Pond hosts an incredible small mouth bass fishery. Foraging is encouraged as a way to connect to nature. Make your own sumac, sarsaparilla or pine needle tea while enjoying the various fresh berries and mushrooms and a freshly caught and grilled fish. The Cabin of the Woods is close to popular Mid-coast towns like Camden, Rockport and Rockland with all of their amenities while enjoying life in this off-grid all-natural and relaxing setting. A 15 minute drive to Belfast allows you to find great lobster fresh from a lobster pound or pick up a meal and enjoy it while watching the daily life in Belfast Harbor and waterfront or other spots like Searsport Harbor or Sears Island. Scenic 1 hour drive to Acadia National Park.Set up camp in the PRIVATE 230 acres of lush woods of Maine for a few nights or more! Stay in a new 10ft by 14ft cabin and sleep up on the loft or anywhere else that looks good to you. An air mattress works great, but a sleeping bag or futon would work just as well. Foraging is encouraged-lots of wild blueberries, raspberries and blackberries. Make sumac, sasparilla, or pine needle tea. Enjoy the peaceful surroundings (take in a midnight barred-owl party) and explore the woods and nature including 2 man made 1800´s era structures along the brook, or watch the beavers working on their lodge. For city life, take a 15 minute drive into the nearby town of Belfast. A scenic 1 hour drive can take you to Acadia National Park. The property features easy access to 1200 feet of shoreline on the PRIVATE Tilden Pond, complete with a pier and kayak for your use and an amazing smallmouth bass fishery. Just drive or walk the trail you used to drive in and hike the last yards (keep left) to the shoreline. Once at the cabin, the nearest neighbors are about 1 mile away.

Cabin of the Woods at Tilden Pond
Robert responded quickly to any questions I had. It turned out that I had to cancel one day ahead, and Robert was great about it. I expected to lose all I had paid, but that was not the case.

Cabin of the Woods at Tilden Pond
Beautiful pond and lots of privacy. Nice that the little cabin had things you might have forgotten to bring camping. Chairs, a lighter, trash bags etc. You have a lot of land and beautiful pond to yourself, unlike a campground. The host was really communicative and helpful with our stay!

Cabin of the Woods at Tilden Pond
The host bob was great to communicate with and has a beautiful camp on Tilden pond. The views of the woods is beautiful and the pond is good for fishing along with canoeing or kayaking. It’s a great place to reset and get off your PHONE! (Yes, there was phone service , lol) Definitely, will be coming back!

Cabin of the Woods at Tilden Pond
It’s as described, clean, organized. The cabin is basic no frills but seems to be brand new and worked for our group. We brought tents too but used the cabin to get out of the rain at times. The pond is pretty awesome, very quiet and not many houses around. Water was clean and nice for swimming but it’s shallow a good ways out so you want water shoes or to use a boat or tubes to enjoy it. We had two dogs with us and they ran free, without incident. The host Bob was very responsive and helpful. Nice place!

Cabin of the Woods at Tilden Pond
Total solitude. The cabin was nice, plenty of room for 4 adults and can accommodate more. We heard loons calling at dusk and they flew overhead. Super cool. The road is quite rough terrain but no problem with a 4x4 vehicle.
