When we first purchased our property, we were made aware of a young fella needing a spot to set up his yurt. He lived with us for two years before moving along. We had enjoyed having him and his yurt on our land so when he left, It left a virtual and metaphorical hole. A couple years later we had an opportunity to purchase a yurt from an outdoor adventure company and so it began. We improved upon our tenant's idea by adding a proper outhouse and outdoor shower area. The space offered us a quiet haven during hectic times and now we are ready to share that opportunity. Our yurt sits on a quiet and private nook on our 7 acre property. We are right in between Kennebunk and Biddeford so there are quite a number of areas to explore if you make us your home base. It is a lovely 6 mile ride to Goose Rocks Beach or you can spend an afternoon walking around Dock's Square in Kennebunkport. Biddeford is a rapidly rebuilding mill town that has made several high profile food and travel publications for its great dining spots. If you are visiting to get away from the city, we are less than a mile away from the Eastern Trail which connects South Portland to Kittery, ME. Bring a bike or plan a quiet walk. We have a little fire pit so feel free to spend the day here and enjoy the birds. You'll have access to an outdoor heated shower, clean outhouse, a fire ring with chairs, a cold water sink and a kitchen area with mini fridge, hot plate, pans and utensils if you choose to eat in. Clean sheets and towels will be provided for your stay. We are very close to interstate 95 and route 1 so you can find many places to explore. There is a flea market down the road and plenty of antique shops to peruse. We are 6 miles from Goose Rocks Beach in KBPT or 7 miles from Kennebunk Beach. Our area also has an abundance of walking/riding trails including the Eastern Trail which is .6 miles away.

Dancing Lawn Yurt

The yurt area and location had everything we hoped for. It was warm, bright, and comfortable and the spot was quiet while being close to many shops and food options that worked for us. The chickens warmed up to us during our stay and were very charming. The setup of the yurt, outhouse, and shower area gave us a nice sense of privacy. Jason and Kelly were very responsive to the few things we had questions about. If we can make the time to return again we likely will!

Dancing lawn!

Great spot! The Yurt was clean and very thoughtfully put together, has a heat plate for cooking plenty of plates and silverware plus plenty of other necessary amenities such as towels. The outdoor space was a plus and the chickens were friendly, would definitely recommend staying here and would come again!

I loved my stay at Dancing Lawn! The yurt is spacious, cozy and so relaxing. The bed was comfortable, and the shower was fabulous! Highly recommend! And I hope to be back soon. 🙂

Cozy and affordable!

This yurt was very comfortable to stay in and the supplied dishes and utensils were a great way to make us feel at home (especially the coffee!). There were a couple of condiments in the mini fridge that got us out of a pinch as well. The chickens were a delight to interact with and I would definitely recommend staying here. We will be coming back!

Felt like a Harry Potter tent

The yurt was AMAZINGLY furnished and big. Communication with the hosts was easy and they had great recommendations. Pretty private area except for the chickens! Only downside was the view was meh but the inside makes up for it. Also there was running water and a clean outhouse. Note: we didn't figure out a way to turn off the tiny nightlights inside the yurt so if you're sensitive to light bring an eye mask.
