Front of property borders on Route One and back of property borders on Downeast Sunrise Trail. https://sunrisetrail.org/ The Down East Sunrise Trail is 87 miles and is the longest off-road trail on the East Coast Greenway through a natural landscape of green forests and vast marshes, habitat for iconic moose, beavers, eagles, wild turkeys and white tail deer. Open to bicycles, walking, horses, cross country skiing, ATVs, snowmobiles and the occasional dog sled, the trail offers a multi-season chance to see Downeast Maine in a new way!! Currently only walking and hiking available until spring is over. Park your RV or van in a driveway set away from my house. Large rocks border the entrance of driveway covered with grass. Street light at entrance on electric pole. The driveway has a grass covering but is solid gravel fill underneath. There is a cement slab to left of driveway for a future project of mine. Easy access to trail. (a few feet) No amenities offered. Enjoy the trail and surrounding area. Beautiful lakes and open ocean are a short drive from this property. (5-10 minutes) Occasionally neighbors across the street have a gun target site that they practice with. You will hear traffic driving by on Route One. No fires or use of weapons on property please. Please leave the property in the same condition as you have found it when you arrived. I prefer texts, thank you!!!Downeast Rest Spot is a grassy parking spot for one RV that borders on a well traveled Route 1 and Downeast Sunrise Trail https://sunrisetrail.org/ a perfect spot for hiking, ATV riding, bicycles, dirt bikes, snowmobiles, and cross-country skiing. The trail borders my spot, I don't own the trail. WIFI is available. At present, there are no amenities. No hook ups. Guests will need to be self contained, take waste with them and leave no trace. This is a perfect opportunity to be 5 minutes near Downeast Coastal Maine, and so many beautiful lakes and rivers to explore. On site is a cement slab with a picnic table on it. The boundary between host and guest is the closest side of driveway entrance to white house. The drive way is 24 feet wide with large rocks on both sides. There is traffic noise and a neighbor who occasionally target practices with a gun on their private property. Target site is not visible from rest spot. Also there are two electric pole lights along route one that are on during the night, I am offering this site as a park your RV ONLY and enjoy the trail and beautiful Downeast Maine.
