Graham Cracker Cabin, Rustic stay!
Everything was wonderful! As advertised, this is a no electricity no plumbing cabin, but there are candles, and a lantern as needed. I would suggest bringing along more lanterns, and they have provided hooks in the ceiling beams for that! There is a porta potty behind the house, with a large wash sink as needed for water and washing dishes. Felt like a slice of heaven, even with the bugs! She provided citronella candles for the tables and there are tiki torches as well. Honestly, it was very relaxing and peaceful. We forgot that she was nearby! Gorgeous open field with wildflowers leading up to the little cabin and a burbling stream in the back of the space. Acadia is about 45+ mins from the cabin, and Walmart is around 15-20 mins. Everything is close by. There is a cot inside the cabin and she provided an inflatable mattress with a pump as well! Overall, highly recommend and we would definitely return! Thank you!

Lovely get-away
Linda and family were truly wonderful hosts! The Graham Cracker Cabin and area were well setup. For instance, solar powered lanterns light the way to the sinks and bathrooms after hours. The cabin itself is cute, and the fire pit was a perfect evening activity. Overall a lovely place.

Graham Cracker Cabin, Rustic stay!
Lovely cabin, lovely hosts!
What a wonderful place to spend some time bonding with my son. A beautiful cabin, incredible hosts, and so many memories packed into a short period of time. Hotdogs (red of course) over a campfire, bacon and eggs in the morning over a wood stove, fishing at the abundant (my son caught and released 30-35 fish) brook, and sleeping with the sound of that same brook to lull you to sleep. If you are looking for a rustic place to stay … this is it!

We loved our stay on Linda's land. The cabin was cute, cozy & perfect for the two of us. The site is secluded & beautiful next to the running brook. Our dogs had a great time too!

Graham Cracker Cabin, Rustic stay!
Off Season Fun- March 2024
Beautiful little cabin tucked back away from the main house but with easy access to an arterial road. A few miles from a pretty well stocked grocery store where you can buy fire wood
It's also about a half hour from Acadia Natl. Park. The hosts were very welcoming, the space was clean and easily large enough for two large people and two dogs. The river is a stones throw from the cabin and can be easily heard in the quiet of the night. While we really enjoyed the cabin, I, as an out of towner, didn't realize that the building has zero insulation. In the summer I'm sure it's a huge boon, but as aforementioned out of towners we accidentally landed here during what is still very much off-season Maine winter in March. The first night was quite cold and I'm glad we went to the grocery store to pick up some fire wood because that wood stove really saved us! The next day it snowed and we went through 5 duralogs and 4 bundles of wood in about 20-26 hours.
Absolutely beautiful stay but beware if you're not from Maine, be prepared! We were very thankful that our second day the owner brought us a Hot Chaud and it really helped while the snow was piling up. It was so nice to let my dogs out and hang out in such a chill and private spot.
