The Point is located in Gouldsboro, in Downeast Maine on the Schoodic Peninsula near the Schoodic portion of Acadia National Park on occupied Wabanaki land. The point is our home, offered to guests as a place for seekers of peace and solace to gain a better relationship and appreciation with nature in a world that has forgotten the importance and connection we all have with the planet that sustains us. A priority here for me is keeping this land pristine and respected. Our mission to save and protect our natural environment and keep it natural and wild can only be accomplished with the active mindfulness of you. We aim to prove that hipcamp can be a magical experience for private landowners and campers alike, to provide a means of temporal community and beneficial alternative to traditional campgrounds; one that does not degrade the environment and break the peace that small towns still contain. Please be mindful of the trash you generate and mindful of the noise you are making— we aim to provide seekers of peace a *quiet* time in nature. Together we are here to be an example to others of what mindful camping can look like in this changing world. Thanks for caring to come, see, explore, learn and being apart of the solution! <3 We hope to hear from you <3

Off-grid Oceanfront A-frame Cabin
We absolutely loved our stay. The pictures don’t even do it justice. Easy to get to with great directions. Loved having fires in the beach and enjoyed beautiful sunsets! We brought our paddle board and enjoyed paddling along with the seals in the water. We stayed for two nights and never left the site. Would LOVE to stay again! Ventured down the Schoodic Peninsula portion of Acadia on the way out which was gorgeous!

Quiet Acadia Woods Near Ocean
We loved the campsite on Lily’s land. Ideally located with access to trails at Taft Point Preserve. The beach was amazing. We enjoyed watching seals and shore birds all day while relaxing on the quiet beach which is only steps away from our campsite. Waking up to the sound of loons and an owl was an added bonus to this otherwise quiet escape. Super convenient to Acadia .

Off-grid Oceanfront A-frame Cabin
I loved this off grid A-Frame. The most relaxing experience. Perfect location, felt private. No need to leave once you’re there, made to just relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.

The Stargazer Beach Cabin
Zero Communication during Blizzard
We booked this site October 14 2023 for the April 8 2024 Eclipse. There was ZERO communication from Lily and we didn't risk driving to the camp site because of a blizzard on our day of arrival. March 25th we had sent Lily a message asking about options for our schedule. We got no response. On our drive up to Star Gazer on April 4th there was a bad snow storm/blizzard and our 8 hour drive took 12 hours. During the drive we sent two messages to Lily asking about the status of the camp site and to see if it was accessible/plowed. We got no response. We ended up having to find a pet friendly hotel room ($300), which took hours because of all the Eclipse visitors. Lily had not answered any messages at this point and we didn't want to risk not being able to get to our camp site/getting stuck after a 12 hour drive through a winter storm. So we didn't get to stay at the campsite we paid 2 nights for, and we had to pay for a hotel room for the night due to lack of communication. Thanks Lily! Hopefully, we will be able to get a refund.

Off-grid Oceanfront A-frame Cabin
This little A-frame and the land upon which it sits is so special. I can't thank Lily enough for inviting folks to share in its magic. I'll definitely be back!
