Family-friendly
Recent Hipcampers say this Hipcamp is great for families and kids.
Welcome to creek-side camping on our picturesque 16 acre farm. Each site has access to Broad Creek and complementary unlimited firewood. Enjoy the sound of the water as you relax creek-side, or even take a dip to cool off! Stroll through the wildflower meadow, bird watch, pick wild raspberries and enjoy views of our orchards. Local places to visit include: Susquehanna State park, Rocks State Park and Eden Mill Nature Center. Local breweries Falling Branch and Slate Farm are both within 5 miles and are a must visit. A few ground rules: -Dogs are permitted if they are friendly and are trained well enough to listen and stay at your site. Again, they must stay at your site unless walking with you on a leash. If your dog inflicts damage to the sites (digging holes, chewing up piles of sticks, chewing up toys to bits etc. please clean up after your dogs. We will provide shovels, rakes if you need!) - OVERLANDERS: You can bring your overland camper if you want, but you must park your vehicle in the parking spot across from your site at sites 1-3. You can sleep in your vehicle, and hang in the camping area, but not both in the same place. Site 4 is large enough to accommodate your vehicle and these rules do not apply there. No exceptions! It is a safety issue to block the entryway/exit lane. -This is a place for relaxation and reflection by the creek. No loud groups or partying allowed. -This is a pack it in, pack it out site. This includes food waste, dog waste, and any garbage produced. Please respect that :) -There is NO FISHING, kayaking or boating. Go for a swim and float, no prob! But please float in the vicinity of your camp, so as not to disturb other campers. - Lastly, please do not invite visitors to your campsite. This is our home and we are sharing our place as a small source of additional income. If you want friends and family to experience our beautiful spot, please have them sign up and book a site, wouldn't that be more fun anyway!? People coming to our land who are not booked at a site will immediately be shown off the property. You can enjoy the following on our sites: - Free, unlimited wood for your campfires. Each site comes with a fire ring. - Seating arrangements (picnic table, wrought iron loungers and chairs and wood benches). - Charming outhouse situated over a septic certified holding tank with toilet paper and hand sanitizer.

Site #3 - Bamboo
What a cool back yard!
Scott was great, very attentive and friendly - even my young son commented on what a nice guy he is. We had a great stay overall - although a rough start - a quick downpour caused the little pier to get so slippery, we both took a spill - some grip tape on the first and last few boards would be greatly beneficial. Absolutley loved the ample firewood supply and access to so much of the property. And the nightly firefly show, fun for all ages! Hope to be back soon!!

Scott's property was great! This was our first time going to this location and we definitely want to go again! The bamboo nook just fit our large tent (14-person size) and was nice to be tucked away from the area with the fire pit and chairs. Relaxing sounds of the creek right next to us and a field full of fireflies in the evening right on the other side. The free firewood was an excellent perk - and plenty of it! Scott was a great host and we highly recommend his property.

Site # 1 - Osage
Creekside Splendor
Beautiful location, can't wait to go back! Scott was friendly and helpful. Site 1 has been expanded with the addition of a retaining wall to create a larger level area for 2024. There's also a smaller spot down a very short slope that's a great spot to sit right next to the water. This site is one where there are small rapids so you can hear the sounds of the creek. Fire ring has no grill grate but that gave me a chance to try out my wood-fired camp stove, so that was fine, but if you want to cook you need to plan for that. If you go when the blackberries are ripe in summer you could fill up on those--they are all over! Sites are fairly well spaced so feels private--certainly MUCH more so than any typical campground.

Site #4 - Slate
Loved site #4!! So much space and being right next to the creek was so nice with the hot weather. The unlimited firewood and well-maintained outhouse were great additions to the location. Scott came to introduce himself a little bit after I arrived, and was super friendly and accommodating. 1000% recommend this spot for your next trip.

Excellent Baltimore get away
Beautiful, quiet, and well kept space an hour from Baltimore. The grounds are well kept, and meadows full of native plants I wish I knew by name. Any of the sites have creek access and views from the camp site. I enjoyed the bamboo nook carved out to set up my tent. Loads of dry firewood at your site. Scott was friendly, informative and accessible. However, never overbearing. I would definitely feel comfortable coming back as solo camper.
