This site was a great jumping off point to go visit some beautiful sites on the Eastern Shore like Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge and the new Harriet Tubman UGRR Visitor Center. The site was large, felt private, and could definitely fit multiple tents. There’s a fire pit and grate for cooking that we didn’t use, but both looked to be in good shape. There was a loud booming sound (sounded similar to fireworks) nearby throughout the night and early morning, so bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper.
