Maple Grove farm is a twenty acre preserved livestock and hay farm in Harford County Maryland. It is home to sheep, alpaca, an old horse, chickens , dogs, and a cat or two. The world headquarters for Remsberg Inc Photo Studios is in the older farmhouse on the property and we lead photo safaris and workshops in Africa and England through the year. Our crack team of Border Collies are here to assist you with all your outdoor activity needs from frisbee tossing to ball throwing. Gather around the fire under the stars and listen to the sounds of sheep doing whatever it is sheep do with one of our loaner dogs at your feet and horses grazing in the sunset on the hill. When the weather is nice we occasional show movies by the barn drive in style and try to have one or two outdoor concerts each season. We are only three miles from W42 (Fallston Airport) if you are flying in. Nearby there are hiking trails and a swimming hole at Gunpowder Falls State Park one mile away. Boordy Vinyards down the road has a farmers market Thursdays and wine tastings other days or get homemade ice cream at Prigel Creamery just past it. Take your canoe up to Eden Mill or Bike on the Ma & Pa and NCR trails nearby.

Pitch your tent in the Pasture

Price feels high for the accommodations and amenities. However, it served its purpose as a quick stop over, Edwin was a terrific host, and our kids enjoyed all the space to play.

Vintage van life - 1940's style

Great way to introduce my daughter to camping! And the Porta potty was pleasantly clean. We really enjoyed getting to make smores and look at the stars. Easy to book and the animals were a great addition.

Vintage van life overnight stay

Edwin is nice, keeps to himself working on the farm! A quick introduction and your off to your campsite. The farm is pretty big and there is lots of space between campsites. Friendly animals about and the dogs will hang out with you quite a lot. A couple of issues I had were the Fallston Club is located near the farm, you can’t see it but I had a birthday party with teens singing karaoke until 9:00PM. Not very peaceful evening to say the least. It’s not the owners fault but if you camp on the weekend it’s possible you may hear parties in the distance. The furniture and bedding in the farm truck is dated, on purpose, I suspect and I had no issue with that at all just pointing it out. Make sure you bring fire starter, you can’t access the woods around the farm so no free wood source available. You can purchase firewood on the farm at a premium. The porta potty was very clean and sanitary! The bad karaoke ruined it for me so hopefully your stay will be different.

Relaxing Pastoral Experience

Pitching a tent on the pasture was so delightful and ended up being the perfect way to spend our Memorial Day weekend! There is plenty of space, vibrant working collies, and a gentle herd of sheep. Edwin was kind and accommodating. We were able to truly relax for the first time in a while.

Sheep Safari in Classic Land Rover

The land rover was a hit with my 4 year old. Also, the water tap was very conveniently located, and the port-a-potty was pristine. Edwin stopped by a couple of times to see how we were doing. All told, it was a wonderful trip.
