Lake Garfield was named after President Garfield and was where he had his summer house. My place is the original boatshed of the house. The treehouse was built 15 years ago as a sleepout to watch the stars. It's a pretty quiet Lake up in the mountains of the Berkshires and sits at 1200feet so the nights get a little crisp which makes for a great night's sleep.It's a treehouse covered in wisteria with a clear corrugated roof, fully flyscreened in with canvas blinds. No mosquitoes :-) and right on the lake. Portable camp toilet under treehouse. Hanging double bed with very comfortable mattress. Please BRING your own sheets, douvet, bedding, and pillows. There is a Weber BBQ, wifi Floating jetty and dock. Two paddleboards are ready for your enjoyment. Water is crystal clear and clean enough to drink, great for swimming, fishing, and boating. The closest town for dinner and shopping is Great Barrington/ 15-minute drive away. Or Lee in the other direction. Amazing hiking trails all over the place nearby. Please be respectful of the environment (no hurting the trees, please!) Firewood in bundles can be found at any gas station in the nearby area or from me at $1 a log from behind the shed.

Spectacular

This Tree house and location will set your soul right. The peacefulness of this place is magical. The host Quentin is lovely and if you need him he's there. We came here to soothe our tattered souls from a number of bumps we recently endured on the road of life. We shut down, turned off every possible way for the world to reach us and RECHARGED OURSELVES. We knew we could no longer pour from our empty cups and THIS was the perfect place to do our reset. Today were back in the world with our new found goals and souls in check and this place reminded us that we need to take care of us!! Thank you for the MAGIC Quentin that you shared with us. I know as a host you never know why people come and what the goal is but for us it was salvation. We would highly recommend this spot for anyone needing to reconnect to the beauty of life.

This site is perfect for a nice lake weekend. You have a private dock and a ton of space for fire and cooking. Quentin is a great host, and Lake Garfield is beautiful, and there are many great hiking trails as well within a 5-10 minute drive.

Lakeside views

I had a great time staying at Quentin’s treehouse! It’s in a beautiful spot right on the water with amazing views of the lake. The spot had everything I needed— a toilet, spot for a fire, comfy chairs and tables for preparing food. Quentin even set up some lights because I was getting in after dark. Would highly recommend staying here for a peaceful getaway!

Fall foliage at it's finest!

Thank you Quentin, we had a great time at your treehouse!! The view of the lake and the fall foliage was something of a painted picture!! Quiet peaceful night with a fire, and cooked steak for dinner! Thank you again, I am glad I not the only one to forget a lighter 🤣 We look forward to coming back!

Gorgeous Lakefront!

We loved our our one night stay at Quentin’s treehouse. The site itself is gorgeous! A beautiful lake that definitely provides the serene ambiance. I never communicated with the host at all which has not been the case in my other bookings. The treehouse is nice; you do need to bring your own bedding/matress is not good to sleep in. You need to bring your own cushion. And the stairs were really steep.

Quentin’s treehouse is simple, yet magical. The view of the lake is beautiful, and the fall foliage was wonderful to wake up to. The stairs up the treehouse were fairly steep, I would take caution if you have a disability.
