This property is heavily wooded with pine and maple trees. Wild raspberry and blueberries are found to be plentiful in season. Formerly wooded by lumberjacks during the early 1900’s, this area is rich with history and sights to see. Located between Seney National Wildlife Refugee and Grand Mairas on Lake Superior.
Andy's Wolf Traxx is a haven for those seeking a secluded and peaceful camping experience. The campsites are spacious, offering ample privacy and a sense of being immersed in nature. Campers frequently praise the friendly and accommodating host, Andy, who ensures that guests have everything they need. However, some mention the porta potties could use more frequent servicing, and cell service is limited, which might be a consideration for some.
We stayed at site number 4 at Andy’s wolf traxx and it was awesome! Very secluded and laid back, the colors of the leaves were beautiful and the stars were absolutely amazing to look at when it got dark out. Andy was extremely nice and went out of his way to make sure that we had everything that we needed to have a good time camping. I would definitely recommend this spot
We stayed at site 2 and LOVED our experience there. We stayed during the week so we were the only ones there. He provided us with a generator, a quiet one which was nice. He provided the fuel for it and checked/filled it each morning for us. We got there late and he met us there and gave us all the info. He came back out late to bring the generator we requested last minute. The site was big enough for an rv, a two person tent, and our large three room tent. He has a picnic table, trash, bathroom, and water hose there. Our main goal was for trail riding and he gave us all the close places we could go, very knowledgeable of the area. Gorgeous, clean, and private spot for camping! Had absolutely no complaints!
We loved site 4! Lot’s of privacy from other sites and lots of space. We only had 1 tent but could’ve easily fit several others or a big RV! Could occasionally hear faint noises from the road but not too loud at all. Make sure to plan ahead and bring a map or pre download your gps as there isn’t really as service on site. great stay!!
