Orchard Cabin
Private cabin at a forested farm!
Rustic cabin at its finest! Electricity but very little wifi, forested, with wildlife and beauty everywhere you look. The hosts were very respectful of our space, we had everything we needed and we felt close enough to market while still being a little bit in the wilderness. A perfect stay!

The Pond Cabin
Classic log cabin on a pond!
What a special place! It is a true log cabin! We sat on the back patio overlooking the pond after dinner and for our coffee in the morning. Went for a canoe trip around the pond in the evening (the canoe was located down the shore from the cabin) There were a couple of roosters next door that were a bit chatty and we missed a turn on the directions in… (only saw one of the bear signs indicating we were on the right path). There were delicious homemade oatmeal cookies for us and the cabin was cozy and charming!! The front door is a masterpiece with a carved bear looking into the window :). We had a great time here!

Orchard Cabin
What a special place! So much attention to detail. The nicest outhouse I’ve ever used (not joking)! The place can be tricky to find but after i found it twice my homing pigeon skills kicked in and i could find my way back easily. One evening we grilled over the fire pit and hung out by the pond and it was magical. Another night we made a fire inside and working on some projects we brought with us. A very dreamy and inspiring place!

Orchard Cabin
Jill and Nick truly provide a wonderfully unique and restorative experience with the cabins at their beautiful homestead. The location is perfect, just far enough off the beaten path that you feel tucked away in a remote area, but also walking distance of magnificent hiking trails and a short drive to the lovely lakeside town of Marquette (great breweries!). It was a privilege to stay in the Orchard Cabin and enjoy the escape from our bustling city life in Chicago. Waking up in the morning to being greeted by ducks and chickens, to seeing Ollie the Ox and the cows from our porch, it was really inspiring to see the care that goes into the animals and the land. We left wishing we had booked more nights and will absolutely be returning. Thank you so much Jill and Nick for opening your home to us! We hope to make a transition to a more sustainable and homesteading lifestyle in the next few years and staying at your home was very inspirational for us to pursue this dream.

Orchard Cabin
Extraordinary property with gorgeous views all around. Within 10 minutes of Marquette but feels like your deep within the forest. Cabin is rustic and everything you would want for an off grid cabin. On site pond, lots of area to explore, all very aesthetic. Absolutely gorgeous hiking trails that you can access directly from the property, they connect to North Country trail and you can hike up to a gorgeous viewpoint at the top of Hogsback mountain. The forest is extremely enchanting here! This homestead is a pleasure to experience and the hosts really go out of their way to ensure a good experience. Would absolutely do again.
